I'm waiting for the flush mount bezel to be released so I can put them in the bumper. Baja Designs has been silent on this forum and Tacoma World about the timing, so my guess is it's in development and they cant share the date.
Flush mounts are out, when are you going to get them installed so I know if I want to do the same? I had S2 sports but didn’t like the mounting location. I have since installed the GJ third brake light with S2 Pro, not sure I need to do the bumper lights anymore...

Soon, but I just don't know the timing yet. Interestingly BD says you only need a 1" hole saw for mounting. I plan on using the flat spaces alongside the area where the license plate is. I'm also going for the work/scene lense with reverse activation and hooked up to the up fitter switch. I'll post when I get it done.

The 1 inch hole saw is why I’ve been waiting, cleaner and easier than trying to do it with the S2 lights.

This is because the lights are the same between Flush Mount and Regular bezels. It's the bezel that changes and just gives you mounting holes. The actual hole the light goes into is not as square as you would think

I just completed my S1 installation. I wired the reverse trigger to the #4 position in the tail light plug also. For whatever reason, when I would shift into reverse it would make the collision sensor for that left corner beep. I checked it over a couple times and kept having the same issue, left corner collision alert and was nowhere near anything. I ended up moving the reverse trigger wire down to the center wire of the trailer plug. Problem went away and have not had any issues. BLIS works, collision alerts work properly etc.

Nice write up. An alternate wiring option to the tail lamp for the reverse activated lights is to use the round trailer harness center white wire and wire tap it.

Thanks for the heads up. I was wonder if using the reverse trailer connection had any issues with the trailer detection logic. I also did not get the wiretap in the S1 kit. The tap is waterproof somewhat special and my instructions did not list it. I ordered mine on Amazon, must have missed something.
