I am in the middle of doing mine. Thanks for the great pics and writeup.

A few questions.

1. If I am not tapping into my reverse lights and have the Aux cable from Offroad Alliance with my S1's, can I take the pigtail for the backup lights out of the wiring harness and still have enough length to do my install? And will it screw up the wiring at all, methinks not.

2. There seems to be conflicting info in the various instructions about you must connect the long end to the drivers side and you must connect the long end to the passenger's side. I am thinking the short end goes to passenger (with or without pigtail back up light tap as per question 1) and long wire goes to driver. Then main harness follows passenger side to upfitter.

3. I think I saw that I can take off and reinstall the lens cover to have the wording face up. No issues with breaking any seals etc. It's just a gasket?

Thx.

You can tap the passenger tail light and if you choose not to tap into tail lights, you can run straight to aux switch. And yes, you can definitely flip the front faceplate on the light itself without issue.

Thanks. I think I've got it:

Short side to passenger reverse light, long to driver.

I can take out the additional pig tail for reverse light tap and the harness will still work fine/ reach?

Thx re lens cover turn around. Didn't want to Fk them up.

It will reach, no issue.

An update on this. The full harness needs to be used for Aux only due to the way it is wired. I could have cut into it to take some of it out, but left the backup like pigtail on and tucked up should I change my mind or for a future owner.

Upfitter wires were pretty damn short. I think I saw some guys add a more civilized connector to them. I just butt connected it for now, but will look into options for doing it better.

The S1s are great. 3cb8f8a7257c2dcf645c6a3fe87ef7b3.jpg1385b3b521c02dd28f3117f75561dad3.jpg

If you ever decide to swap out your harness, check out our CrystaLux harness. We give you plenty of length so you can route the wires where ya need to. Our harness actually replaces the 55" splitter that Baja provides in their reverse kits. We built the y-split into our harness so it's 1 piece (and again, plenty of length so you can tuck the wires where you need to). You'll also be able to power the reverse lights from an upfitter WITHOUT back-feeding your factory reverse lights. You also have the option NOT to connect the rear tail tap if you choose to (our harness has a plug that connects to the Baja rear upfitter tap so you can choose to plug it in OR not plug it in without effecting our main harness: https://www.4x4truckleds.com/crysta...ness-for-2017-ford-raptor-s1-s2-reverse-kits/

Pretty sure that's the one you guys sent me and I used. I just did aux switch only and it works great.

We're not the same people as the company you stated you ordered from. Our harness is different.
