LSU, did you have the sway bar off when you where on top? I was going to go to the middle because of the harsh ride and bump steer on the top perch. Took the sway bar off and I can live with it now, smoothed it out and I love it when off road'n. But I still get tempted to go to middle, thats why I asked.

AOlsen too bad we don't live closer to each other. I'd do your mid perch for free.

Awesome offer Nightfighter, ya Washington and Texas are a bit far apart for that :) I am going to get it done this week, ill update the interwebs here with the details :)

so from all the talk of so many going to mid-perch, i am very curious as to why ? is the ride and handling that much better , on road and off ? mine is at low as it came from the factory, if there is that much improvment may have to locate a shop myself.

Thank you for any sharing of information.

From what I understand, there are a few advantages.

1. Correction of rake stance. Like a leveling kit, it makes the front and rear the same relative height.

2. Handling. I am told that the truck will behave better in corners with a level stance.

3. Fuel Economy. Debatable, but some say you can get a little better fuel millage.

You will need to have it re-aligned as well. Also, you might need to adjust the headlights down a bit.

Also it adds more preload to coilovers that helps prevent dented skid plates. Witnessed at Texas Raptor Run. A couple of stock Raptors had dented skid plates.

I did not... I considered it but unfortunately, I drive a lot of highway entrance and exit ramps here in Houston. Usually at high rates of speed... Also, fast lane changes worried me.

Yes, the ride and handling is better on mid. Ride suffers on top but handling is still better than stock.

As for mileage, any hopes of really tracking that went out the window when I put the exhaust cutout on but I haven't noticed a difference one way or the other.
