Newbie too but from everything I've been reading, it is only the front. Sounds like whoever responded didn't know what you were asking and trying to sell you an oil change to boot!

I know this has been discussed numerous times so I am sorry. But I asked my dealer if they could adjust the perch and this is the response I got.

To adjust the shocks $220 front and rear. for alignment $69.95 and if you like to do service it will be $79.95 uo to 5 qts of oil. Your car will take about 8 qts please call me or emailme back.

I thought you only adjusted the front shocks. Do you guys think the price sounds right too? Thanks for your help. I'm kinda a newbie to all of this.

I'm new here as well but from what's been discussed on the forum is that the Fox shocks have three positions. The rear come from the factory on the second or middle notch/perch and the front comes on the first or lowest notch. So you would adjust the front to match the rear. They call it the Mid Perch setting.

I asked my dealer about it and they were not familiar with the mod. Needless to say I won't be bringing it to them when I get it done!

To answer your question about price, I've seen folks here post that they have paid $300+ for the mid perch when its including the alignment. So for your dealer to be at $290 seems somewhat reasonable. It would concern me about the comment on the rears. You might want to talk directly to the service advisor or mechanic that will be doing it, how many they have actually done and possibly provide any references.

i have no clue where you guys are getting the adjustment on the rear shocks but whoever told you that is a complete moron no offense haha but wow ok anyways to answer your question that price is a tad high for one and two you live in cali so there are a number of shops you could take it to and have it done that actually know what they're doing. i would recommend trying out some of the shops first calling for prices and what not or you could try and do it yourself its really not hard and RPG has a video on how to do it
The DIY Mid Perch Mod!!! | RPG Offroad

if you're not so mechanically inclined well then take it to someone that is. hope you find the info you wnated
