It all depends on if you were originally planning on keeping for the long term or own it for a couple years and get one newer or new? If you were planning on long game and modding as you wanted or not. The new long block would be great once all bugs if any are worked out it’s a win other than the current headache! But if playing a short game or the not new engine than get out from under it. Good luck with it.
2 years was the plan, then get new or newer. I guess when I finally get the truck back and fixed I'll see what the dealership has come up with and go from there. They tried to sell me a 2023 with 31k on it. For 65800, took 3o off what they had it for sale for, I declined that.

Man, life hit you with some lemons right there. Tough it out and get the long block from Ford. If you’re only keeping a few years, you can be done with it. OTOH, if you’re going to keep it longer, have a look at the later posts in https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/buying-a-used-2017-2020-“jen-too”-raptor-some-things-to-look-for.101501/ for the refresh of the Ecoboost. A lot of the lines can degrade over time and need replacing.
Man that's awesome I appreciate it,yeah I've got some thinking to do. I'll have a 3/36 on the new motor, ive got a 2 /30 with ally. I'm thinking I may tell the dealer to pay for the warranty I have with ally in full and pay for 1 more year of warranty to take it to 3/45 from ally with me not paying anything for the warranty at all and 0 deductible. I've got to see what they get for me to move over to if I did let them buy this back from me.

Bearing material in the oil could have damaged your turbos too, so make sure that’s covered in one of the two warranties that the truck will have after the transplant.

They are covered , im going to talk to the service dept Thursday and ask them about anything that's not being replaced with the new engine if they can look at having it replaced if they have no way to tell that the parts werent affected by the metal from the engine , im hoping I can get some pics of the engine and the failure also.

I think the turbos have the filters or screens on them to protect from debris or something to that effect, if they have metal all over them then I'd hope that would be a case to go ahead and replace as wel. I want to see the vct solenoids also and see how much metal is on them just out of curiosity.
