Just so everyone knows. I put in a call to Jarrett at @svc and we talked about things, hashed it out and shook hands over the phone. There will be no more back and forth, price wars or otherwise between SVC and Freedom Motorsports. In the end, we are both reputable companies in the Raptor community and the drama does none of us any good. So that part of things is good to go and anyone that wants a @Pedal Commander should contact their favorite vendor to get one at the price that that specific vendor will offer them.

Uh oh! Guess what day it is!

Thanks for responding. For the record, I didn’t say “**** Pedal Commander”, I said if true, P/C should go **** themselves and I stand by that direction. It’s one thing to set a minimum price, so that you can produce a good and valuable product at a cost point that will keep you in business. It is in all of our best interests, as consumers of a product that addresses a need, that you indeed do, stay in business, profitably so that we can continue to buy and get support for said products.

That said, stepping on the market place to ensure we don’t get a bargain or access to a sale in a public way kind of has an alienating effect, doesn’t it? It’s like me saying to you (generally, not personally) ‘hey, F*** those pedal commander guys, I can get the super-widget 2.0 that does the same thing, made in China for $50’.

You wouldn’t much like that as a company, would you? We as consumers, performance enthusiasts and, well, human beings don’t like being treated that way either.

I’ve had 2 SVT and now a Ford Perf. vehicle and have publicly conceded (reluctantly, after being browbeaten by NJSP) that the pedal commander is a product that improves the raptor driving experience. I still believe this. However, I do feel like after this whole shit show between the 3 principals here that some unethical taking advantage of the Raptor Pedal Commander buying public has been done.

quoting Don Henley - I could be wrong, but I’m not.

From my completely unscientific observation it looks like vendor a discounts the product, vendor b does so even more so and mfgr. cries foul to keep the price higher. Complaining about this is like complaining that you got caught speeding in a pack of cars that were all speeding. You complain all you want that others were going just as fast but you know what? The Lidar gun was aimed at you, not the others, so you drew the short straw.

MAP may, or may not, very well be the “industry standard” but we got to find out about it in a very open and public way. An unfortunate way because though many of us like the product, none of us like overpaying.

You don’t like someone posting about sending the products back? I don’t like seeing or hearing about having to pay a fixed minimum amount from a vendor. Industry standard or not, yeah, I’ll avoid buying your stuff. Everyone else is free to make up their own mind.

This happens a lot in every day products, some manufacturers just don't allow their products to be discounted by any of their distributors. IMO, it's completely their choice, its their business, they run it the way they want it. As consumers, we get the shaft sometimes. I don't see a problem with the situation, other than the fact that we as consumers know that the Pedal Commander can be purchased for far less than $299 (at times, by different distributors, when all the stars and moon align)

This is what WAS going to happen as a result of the childish "price cutting" that was going on between my dealers. I stepped in and said that wouldn't be fair. SVC and Freedom and ANY of my other dealers can post "10% off orders on our website this weekend for Labor Day!!!" just like I can.

I'll piggyback on this and say that honestly, the fact that other forums get a discount code if they'd like to buy direct on the site, but not us comes off as shady.

You guys have it good. Ford came out with a badass truck and the aftermarket community was ready for you with superchargers and turbos and pulleys and light bars and intakes. Other brands got stuck with very little support. Raptor is my #1 selling vehicle. Right behind you guys is the new Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon. Can you name a company that primarily focuses on aftermarket parts for them off the top of your head? I can't, lol. So since I don't have/can't find a Colorado/Canyon dealer, they get a small discount from my website. YOU guys get the better end of the deal because you get awesome dealers like SVC and Freedom. Companies you've already worked with and trust with your money. And yes, I'm going to let them do the same discounts I'm capable of doing. But I can't list $269.99 on my website, just like they can't. We ALL list at the MAP of $299.99.

I'm a consumer like you guys. I've built multiple cars, trucks and motorcycles on multiple platforms and spent small fortunes on car parts. I've experienced both sides, and I am going to be fair to both sides.

It's good you guy's came to a understanding, I do hope that you Chris reach out to those guys that were waiting to buy in April when your sale was going to end. That's what I was going to do until I got your post that it was ending early. I don't even have my raptor yet but couldn't pass this one up. Normally I would never buy something from a company that changes it's rules in the middle of a sale. It's seems flakey and dishonest but you had to do what you had to under the circumstances. And I'm not blaming you for that.

Sure it is. It tricks the computer into thinking the user is adding more throttle than they actually are which gives the perception your truck is faster or whatever. For example if the user gives it 1/3 throttle and they have PC set high then it tricks the computer into thinking they are giving 2/3 throttle or higher (rough estimates). Ill just push my foot further into the pedal and get the same results, thats all the PC does.

Until you try one, you will never know for sure. Because you think you know but you don't. It makes a difference that your foot cannot do. You have nothing to lose to try it as they offer a 14 day money back guarantee, so until you do Zaney your comments are invalid.
