I think this is symptomatic of running the pedal commander at too high of a setting.
stock, the throttle is really soft below about 60% throttle. sport mode is more linear and tolerable but the non linear throttle is masked a bit by the gear holding and shift strategy
with p/c in city, the response is moved from the “about 60” where it’s 1:1 throttle input to throttle reaction down to like 20%. in PC sport, it’s almost binary, you touch the throttle, just a little and watch the boost gauge. Repeat the same stretch with the PC turned off to see how different it is.
You’re probably making the truck think it’s doing something it shouldn’t and it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if some of the electro-nannies started interfering.
PC has a wide selection of throttle input adjustment, but only some of them are really usable. Sport +3 or higher is where I found the throttle is just too touchy.
Remember, PC is relatively simplistic, I don’t think it’s trailing off or reducing the throttle adjustment higher in the range, and I’d bet it’s entirely possible to have a >100% throttle.
