Alright I need the gurus to step in on this one. I come back to the drawing board again after just recently getting shackles, alignment kit put on as well as a shop doing a thorough run down on the suspension then alignment. Tell me if I’m crazy or that it’s not normal. (Keep in mind this is my second gen 1)

Bought this truck and previous owner had it on top perch. Knew I’d be rebuilding shocks and probably replacing wear items in the front.

Fast forward: New UCAs, inner and outer tie rods, rebuilds from shocksbyhammer with geiser springs on low (really liked this setup up front on my previous truck). Front end feels choppy and stiff (in an unsettled way) compared to my last one. I also just got some engine work done and had the shop do a full suspension inspection and the only thing they could see needing to be replaced was the steering rack which I was already aware of and am planning to tackle in the summer.

As for the rear, I actually decided to pull the trigger on the deaver +3 SD and just recently threw on and RPG shackle to drop the rear down slightly. I’ve been rather unimpressed with the deavers but I’m hoping it’s something else. I still get the same exact unsettled feeling you get on stock springs over those certain bumps. Currently running 120lbs of weight in the back too. Feels stiff and relatively underwhelming if I’m comparing to all the raving deavers get.

The truck does feel “okay” when hitting a rough dirt road at speed, but arguably worse than my last truck without deavers. Alignment and rotation done not too long ago but my Mickeys are on the back half of life. I have been suspecting maybe the tires are just prematurely worn out but just don’t feel like this would cause the truck to vibrate and shutter so much. Sorry for the long post I’m just getting close to giving up because it’s been a slight money pit, and I just know it’s not riding up to par.

My question is could these worn out tires be the cause of the majority of what I’m experiencing? Just and expensive what if but it’s really only the last thing I can think of.

To clarify, stiff is fine if it feels planted and well mannered. This feels like it’s bouncing, skipping, shaking, and overall just unsettled as hell

What are your tire pressures set at? What tires are on the truck and what is the size?
My apologies, I should have definitely added that. I have MT Baja Boss ATs in 35x12.5r17. Typically ran between 35-38 front, and 32-35 rear

How many mm of tread do you have left on them?
I will check after work today. Been meaning to pick up a new one since I lost mine but I could also use a penny
Unsure if I missed it but...

Sway links? Tread wear? Suspension not blown? Unbalanced tires?
Disconnected my sway bar, tires had started cupping once but I rotated immediately, but they have about 36k miles on them. I’m sure they’re not balanced perfectly since a road force machine isn’t within 200 miles of me but they were recently balanced
Those are a load D rated tire. So expect a stiffer ride (giggity) over the stock C rated tire.
This is on a gen 1 Raptor which I believe were load D from factory(?) I’ve contemplated a load C but have heard lots of mixed opinions running those on gen 1s. The Mickeys rode pretty good it seemed like until the last 4-6k miles
