holy shit you drive nascar I would think nascar is geared high and not that snappy off the line. But I've never drove a nascar however I have drove a modified on a gravel road that was cool lot's of power. nascar is what 800hp or so?

I went to the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Las Vegas Motor Speedway...was a blast. Car was super responsive...Not sure how the cars are geared, but it f'n flew....yes, they're around 800-850HP.
Regardless, the PC is great...same install in my Raptor as in my Jeep JKU...unplug and replug...hardest part is deciding where to mount it.

Ordered mine today.

Post pictures of where you install it. Trying to decide where mine should go.

Rappy Graphics should make a sticker to go on it that makes the unit a little more attractive... maybe with something Raptor on it.

I'd do the Velcro it under the dash If I wanted to play with it I think it's got a long enough lead then just put it back when done.

i took the plunge and picked up a pedal commander. I’ve tested it out in normal and sport mode on the truck.

First off, I want to publicly blame NJSP for this.
:rockit:

I started off in city+1. This is a good improvement to the truck’s normal mode. It will still skip gears if you’re soft on the gas, but much better response.
City+2 was an improvement in normal mode, but in sport mode, I suffered from rpm hang. I got on the throttle on a highway and when was done horsing around, I eased out of the gas, no upshift, I eased back in and back out, no upshift, lifted completely - nope, 3rd gear and about 4k rpms. It would not upshift until I came to a stop. City +1 and truck sport mode did not exhibit this behavior.

I set pedal commander to sport mode and truck in normal / 4A.
:rockit::rockit::rockit:

This is a little more enthusiastic than city+1, but still controllable and still allows the transmission to upshift 1-3 etc. The transmission downshifts much more frequently at part throttle, rather than trying to boost you to where you want to go. If stab the throttle, you get downshifting and boost, but if you’re just part throttle the boost doesn’t linger like it will when the truck refuses to downshift in normal mode sometimes.
I haven’t monitored economy yet, because, well, who cares?!

Today, I set the p/c to sport and truck to sport.
:rockit::rockit::rockit::rockit::rockit:

You should use this combination without distraction. Things happen quickly. Throttle response is instant, and you are into boost much sooner. You need to be judicious driving in neighborhoods like this as take offs are somewhat aggressive. There was no rpm hang observed like I noticed in city +2, although as typical with Raptor sport mode, gears are held longer to keep from dropping below the power band. The truck did upshift but not anywhere near as fast as in normal mode.

Right now I’m only seeing one “issue” with driving around in normal mode using the pedal commander, but so far my truck seems to be handling it fine. There are a lot more shifts and if you’re just plodding along and nail it, it makes the best guess on how serious you are. Sometimes, that downshift can be a little... harsh, but this was present in my truck from day 1, and not a symptom of the pedal commander. Honestly, the pedal commander keeps it from plodding along at 1100 rpms with 20 pounds of boost if you roll into the throttle, with pedal commander i roll into the throttle and if it’s enough throttle I get a near instant downshift, add some boost and the boost trickles off quickly if I lift or hold stead and reach my desired speed.

I really want to give normal drive mode with p/c sport a try on some back roads to see if results are as positive as the raptor in sport mode.
