Parking the beast in the garage?

What do you guys use for your parking aid in a tight garage? I was able to fit it in with 3 inches to the rear wall and 3 inches to the garage door. My old car I used a tennis ball, but I think I want more precision. I was thinking about a parking block, but it would have to be bolted to the floor but then other cars wouldn't be able to park if needed. What are you using?

Parking blocks don't need to be bolted to the floor.

I use a couple 12x12 pavers. two stacked for the left tire, two for the right.
none secured to the floor or each other. nothing has moved in 6 months.

As soon as the front tires touch it, which is easily felt. Truck is parked perfect.

If needed, pick it up and move it.

and a tennis ball. the pavers are just backup.

A tennis ball costs $2 and 5 min of your time to set up. No need to try throwing money at a problem that don't need it.



Having a nice vehicle kept outside, no matter what it is. Sucks ass.

Can't convince me it is a good thing to be exposed to the elements, thieves, or whatever else.

We get hail time to time in tx. Maybe I'd have to get a new roof on the house. But trashing my truck for no good reason would put me over the edge.

I don’t park trucks in the garage they’re trucks

unless we’re talking a K-Blazer or Bronco restomod or some other classiC the garage is for tools, toys, & hiding shit you don’t want strewn across the front yard.

sometimes I park the raptor in the front yard just to **** off my fellow McMansion suburban neighbors

But trucks- any truck- basically don’t belong in a garage

my 18x42’ garage houses 1-2 jet skis, a Polaris Atv, random tools/kids toys, my Z06, & in inclement weather the wife’s MDX. The raptor stays in garage


How much of a ***** would I feel inching the raptor outta my garage right after a scary snow storm....ooooohhhh it might get dirty, the horror!!!! Lol!

If that’s your bag tho- tennis ball on a string Does do the trick (you do realize tho you bought the truck they sell that’s made for off-roading & jumping shit right?)

you do realize that when not off roading and jumping shit there's no point in letting a vehicle rot outside if you don't have to?

oh and you live in a neighborhood full of tools if the sight of a nice truck ****** them off

I raise the electric eye on the garage door ( the one that prevents small puppies from getting squished) to my bumper level, when I pull past the light bean a small green light goes off on the device and I can wee that in my side mirror.

that is smart as hell. love it.

Some of you guys a too funny. Is cool thing or something to keep it outside?? I live near the water(salt) and it is never nice on my cars left outside. I have a company car, so the Raptor is driven on my leisure. There's nothing wrong with keeping it clean, not having to clean off the snow when going out in a storm , running out in the rain to get into it and keeping safe from dirtbag thieves. All good reasons for me to keep it inside. Paid good damn money for it and want it to last.

I drive a POS to work when I travel so I don’t have to leave my truck outside overnight. And we have a gated lot too.
I feel same way, paid good money, want my truck to last.

Bet I'm the only one making dual use of his PRO-EAGLE jack.......since my Raptor is 75% daily driver,dont need to be hauling it around unless going to the beach or trails...so...when the handle is right in middle of hood and it twitches ...I'm right where I need to be...simple and works as a moving parking aid on ANY vehicle...and keeps Jack out of the way in the shop...
And before a bunch of you say I'm chipping my paint..NOT....only taps the license plate,not hood or bumper....and has worked for over a year now...

I tried this sensor system last year and love it. It emits a laser beam between the two wall mounted sensors and activates a buzzer inside the vehicle when the beam is broken by the vehicle. So it buzzes while you enter the garage and stops buzzing once your bumper is clear of the beam. Measure the height of the front or rear bumper depending on how you park in the garage, mount the sensors, and plug the buzzer into the power plug in the center console.

It works perfect in my garage and allows me to park 1” from the door every time just by hearing when the buzzer stops while I’m pulling in.

Also, the D batteries in the sensors last 7-8 months with daily use.

Y’all lucky, mine don’t fit in the garage, have to park it outside alone when it’s cold or hot...
but at least my office have covered parking
