More updates….

1) Plumber finally (today) made it out for the hookup. Not exactly how I wanted it but super-functional. Water pressure is actually scary.
2) Library ladder installed. Will I use it…..sometimes. Functional…sorta. Looks super cool to me.
3) Custom stickers arrived. A few ‘Easter-eggs’ to pop around the garage.
4) Thresholds all done, installed.
5) Added Swopt broom system. Pretty cool and y’all should check them out.
6) Added my bench grinder to the miter saw slider.

Left to do:

1) Building 3 more sliders. TV will sit on top when done.
2) Finish installing blinds (5) on remaining windows.
3) Hex lights - these will be a PITA which is why they keep sliding down the list

Really cool, and respect the about of thought and work you put into this!
I've just got some questions:
1) Dumb question, but do you actually wash your vehicles in your garage with that setup? If not, what is the purpose of wall mounting everything inside the garage?
2) What is the advantage of the Vevor tiles over epoxy coating? I mean, it looks really good, but that's a big garage, so that wasn't chump change!

Anyways, great work, I definitely got some ideas from you for my own garage!

1) No dumb questions…

2) No washing inside with these tiles. They don’t drain through which is what I wanted as I don’t have a floor drain. When you ‘click’ them together with the rubber mallet they become water tight.

3) I’ve had 3 epoxy floors. They’ve all chipped from damage or stained from chemicals or lifted in spots after 3 to 5 years. Tiles aren’t perfect, but they are replaceable if one gets damaged and these cost $1.26 sqft or $1,100 for a super deep 25’ x 36’ - 3 car garage. Epoxy, done right with concrete prep for this size garage is $4K.

4) I built a wash wall to have everything together close to the garage opening and the water supply and have a spotless rinse setup. I got tired of dragging out a portable pressure washer, hooking up the water line, plugging it in, dragging out the shop vac’ and plugging in the cord, then connecting the spotless rinse caddy…..and then putting it all away when I’m done. PHEW…PITA. All of these are now convenient and have a reel or retractable hose so there is no comparison. When I’m done it takes 1 minute to wind up the vacuum hose and 1 minute to rinse my soap bucket and wash mit. Done

Built 2 slides for my drill press, belt sander and miter saw.

What are you using to lock the drawer slides when extended? Otherwise you'll just be chasing your work around when everything moves.

I was wondering about them bouncing while working also.

They are ‘locker slides’ just like truck slides…..because they are. The yellow levers on the large slides fully lock at 3 positions - fully closed, mid-way and fully open. These are 500 lb rated and are super-smooth. Nothing moves once they are locked. And the carrier shelf is a 40” 2x10.

Now the parts bin slides using the Hart stacker boxes are only 200# rated. They still lock, but definitely more play in those.
