$110k or not, you guys bought a vehicle off an assembly line.
That's absurd, my 911 came off an assembly line and this would never pass. I've loved all my F150's and Raptors, but this is unacceptable; even on a $30k car, much less a $110k.

You think they would pass this on the GT's?

I guess I can also refer to the billions Ford loses in warranty work.

Cost is not equal to quality. It doesn’t help for Ford to see these trucks flying off lots and often with a healthy dose of markup.

I’m not defending them, mind you. I have a ‘23 poor Raptor with some silly paint defects as well.

My 2018 Raptor had zero rust underneath. My $120K R.R. rear axle casing is completely rusted. Also had a nice layer of salt stuck to undercarriage. I know they say the rust will not harm the performance and is not an issue, but same thing for a *** of gum in the middle of the seat, it doesn't effect the performance but it looks like shart. I had to wire brush it and rattle can the housing. Truck sits up pretty high, who wants to see all that rust?

Mine was fairly clean underneath except for the rear axle like yours - guessing the axles sat outside before they were installed - I still need to clean mine up and rattle can it

Few yrs back bought a new F150 frame. It looked horrible when it showed. Obviously had sat outside in bad weather a very long time. I ended up repainting entire frame before use. A good metal prep will wipe that surface rust off. Not good new truck but sitting outside in bad weather…

That is not okay on a brand new truck. Even if it is just superficial.

My wife’s $130K 2023 AMG GLE63S came off of an assembly line as well, in Tuscaloosa, AL. It is flawless. Are you saying an assembly line means it won’t be right, or that American manufacturers can’t get it right with an assembly line, or both?

You are buying a Ford not a Mercedes. Does that make it right and excuse Ford? No, it does not! But my 22 37 PP has 2 clunking rear shocks, exhaust rattle, the interior dash rattles and squeaks, and my battery/starter failed and left me stranded in 6 months of ownership. So if they can’t deliver me a $80-90k truck without issues, the Raptor R will not be exempt from those issues when it is built on the same platform. Ford’s QC and customer service is not sufficient for a $50k vehicle much less something over $100k. The rusty rear differentials have been well known on here since Gen 2. Again, it doesn’t excuse Ford, it just highlights Ford’s incompetence.

I know Mercedes (or any manufacturer for that matter) is not exempt from its own issues. But their customer service is SO much better than Ford you can’t even compare the two. It literally doesn’t matter what kind of Ford dealership you go to, they are always out of rental vehicles and you have to act like a **** to get anything done. I wish Ford would implement the Lincoln customer service model on their high end Ford vehicles (or at least give their customers an opportunity to buy into that). There is nothing like the Raptor and I can’t wait for my R, but the service/customer experience side of Ford is brutal. This is coming from a guy that has owned 6 Raptors and has been a Raptor owner for the last decade.

Ford is an high volume manufacturer. They aren’t happy about the billions they lose to warranty work but at the same time, the amount of pissed off customers amount to dust in the wind for them.

For the Raptor specifically, how many trucks at MSRP or low ADM are sitting on lots? At the end of the day, Ford doesn’t really care about customer satisfaction so long as the money’s rolling.

Ford is no different than GM and Stellantis when it comes to warranty and CS. All three could take some pointers from some of the better import manufacturers.
