Seven years ago I bought an Explorer Sport for the wife and told the dealer not to wash it or doing anything to it. It was filthy from the trip from the factory. When I took it home to wash it the car had polish marks on it and a rock chip on the leading edge of the roof that someone tried to polish out completely. The quarter panel also had a small ostrich feather embedded in the paint from the factory. I wouldn't have accepted the car if I had known. So whenever I buy a car, it needs to be clean and I need to inspect it before I do any paper work.
