No lift required, 20" is the best route IMO, absolutely no difference in ride quality. Basically, if you like more tire, stay with 17's, if you like more wheel, go w/ 20's. Go w/ what you like, of course you'll get some people crying on this forum about putting 20's, just ignore them.

I agree. This is the one thing that has kept me from going to 20's. I like the way it looks but ride quality is more important, plus when I was looking, I couldn't find a C rated 20". Seems like they are all D or E, likely compounding the issue.

To be clear, I am sure some guys with 20's will say there is no difference, but my experience on other trucks says otherwise.

For those that say there is a difference what do you notice changes?
There is no difference, the cry babies with 17" wheels talk out of their ass. Plus, none of them have 20" wheels, nor have they ever driven a Raptor with 20" wheels. But they know it all... lol

This is just my opinion....

20s will provide a stiffer on road ride & somewhat better handling. For off-roading, I believe a taller sidewall is better for rocks to grip on (smaller rims), and you can also deflate 17s more than 20s without the rim popping off the tire.

If you don’t plan to heavily off-road the truck, either works fine? It’s truly your decision because it’s your truck. I personally like 17s more than 20s, but I don’t disrespect other guys that have 20s because it’s what they like and that’s cool.

Either will work absolutely fine with mild off-roading or trail hopping.
