Are you still willing to take the truck with the proper repair?
It’s been a complete disaster, the exact opposite of the experience I was expecting. I imagined getting a beautiful low mileage Gen 1, get a nice warranty, and keep it forever. The wife even said, if you can somehow get the Gen 3 back, keep it and pay it off. I still have until 2030 and 100k miles, truck currently sits at 20,800 miles. I have a take home car so I maybe put 50 miles a week on the truck.Heck, then he would be a GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT...I'm not a betting man,but bet he doesnt ever want to see it again..

Absolutely, just need to see how all this loan payoff is going to play out. As it currently stands, I have the Gen 3 back, they have their truck back. I have an active loan showing on their truck and they possibly are being mailed the title and own my truck. Unless there is a delay in all this correcting itself, this experience has the potential of costing me more money and headaches if I now am forced to buy the Gen 3 from them at a higher interest rate then I had before(which is likely). That alone would cost me a couple thousand extra dollars. Me and the dealer are both keeping our fingers crossed that his payoff check doesn’t go through. Another little kick to the balls is that my bank is claiming that if the payment reversed and my account reopened, I would technically have a missed/late payment that was due on the 15th. I don’t see how they could ding me considering the loan at that time was “paid off”. It’s been a fun ride, all you can do is laugh. Like the owner of the dealership said “at least you have your working truck back”.You got your truck and money back, all things considered you lucked out pretty well.
I had that issue...its not a big deal. Let me find my receipts but it just 800 dollar part. Check if you have oil in your coolant tank. If so, its the oil exchanger? forget the name, but can find the receipt.Pure joy has turned into complete anger and a pit in my stomach that can’t be described. Most of you saw that I was trading in my 21 for the 14 with 38k miles. Drove 3.5 hours, looked at the truck which looked brand new on the inside, zero, and I mean zero rust. Test drove it, no issues….done deal…during the sale they asked if I wanted a warranty, I declined as I planned on getting a Ford ESP and did not want some crap aftermarket one…Left with the truck. Stopped off at a gas station 2 hours into the drive back home. I remote started the truck and noticed a little bit of white smoke and didn’t think much of it. Got it home, parked it, and threw my bed cover on. Remote started the truck and thick white smoke poured out of the exhaust, and lots of it. It goes away after about 30 seconds but it’s far from normal. Beyond angry. Called the dealer who claims they drove it around for a week and it never did that. I’m calling BS. They told me take it to a mechanic and claim they will make it right. Not even half a day of ownership. Not how I wanted to get back into a Gen 1…
Pics just because
