Fellow Raptor Geeks,
Trying to figure out how to download phots onto the nav. screen of my kids. I made a DVD and I can read it on my laptop but the Nav. screen will not recognize the pictures.
Has anyone else been able to add photos to the Nav screen.
Thanks
MR

Yes, you need to do via USB. I guess I cannot say for sure on a Raptor as mine is not here yet, however my other two vehicles (Escape and F150 Lariat) both have the Sony Nav systems and you do it via USB on them.

Has to be from a disk per the manual, not sure how as I have not tried yet, I tried through the USB and it didn't work.

I am pretty confident the manual said it had to be a disc and a particular file format. I don't remember the specifics, but I do specifically remember it's in the manual. :waytogo:

I'm glad that I am not the only one. I thought for sure, one of you "gear head" geeks would have this done alreaday.
Disappointed in you guys!!

I've run across a thread on here where someone had added photos...it's floating around here somewhere. I don't think it had any instructions for doing so, just a couple of pics showing the photos added.

Is it just me or is it f**king lame you can't do it off of a USB drive? You can't copy music to your jukebox either off the USB. Thanks a lot Microsoft.

That is correct, you HAVE to burn them to a CD with maximum file size of 1.5mb.

Sync Nav system uploading pictures - YouTube

If you have access to a mac, the file system it uses to burn CDs is what the system needs. On PCs, its a bit more involved. Never got around to finding out how to do it on a PC because I haven't ever burned a CD on my desktop, I always use my MacBook...
