Went from gen 1 to gt350 to gen 2. Really need the best of both worlds a sports car and a truck haha

Same here! I wanted to trade our 2005 Jeep Rubicon in for the Raptor this year but wife said "if you want a raptor, trade the BMW 535i..." was hoping to have both to soothe my sports car itch but it ain't gonna happen. Ford Explorer Sport, Jeep Rubicon, and Ford Raptor Gen2 will be the staple in our driveway!

Kinda feeling like we're going to end up with Explorer Sport; Raptor and an Escape or Edge..... The more we talked about the Mustang, the more it seems like we don't use it as often as we would like - e.g. - out of 6 months, subtract rainy days; trips with Lab; road trips with kids; anyplace we need room, etc. Kind of like a boat to have a convertible in this climate. Even days that are too hot which seems funny.

Go for it you will not regret a bit. I sold one to a customer of mine a couple of months ago. It was a big purchase big decision but after everything was said and done he thanked me more than once. Now he is always looking for things to do and drive the truck.

Wow! What made you decide to get back into a Raptor? How long were you in each of them?

Gen 1 4yrs and every moment was amazing. I sold the gen 1 to a dealer and worked in an allocation for a gen2 into the deal on the gt350 it was an amazing car just temp until the gen 2 came in. I'm more of a truck guy everything I do is outdoors and offroad.

My girlfriend was reluctant to drive my raptor. After I separated both of my shoulders crashing my Ducati at the track it wasn't practical to squeeze my 100lb Doberman in her Camry. She now actually enjoys driving the truck, having both front and rear cameras helps her.
I bet vanbortal will sell you one at invoice too.

VanBortel is my dealer (love them!). Sadly though, on the Gen 2 Raptor they are selling @MSRP. I know they were at invoice for Gen 1.

What about keeping the vehicles you have and look to pick up a generation 1 Raptor? You can probably pick one up for a good price and the wife can enjoy the convertible during the summer months and the Explorer during the winter. Everybody wins!

I'm back to trying to get my wife OK with keeping the Mustang and be OK with the Raptor. We took a F150 Crew for a test drive home today - fit into garage , no problem. I'm a small biz owner so need to buy new.....
