Hey guys I don't want to go through all the pages of reading but want to know what is the best tune to get for the most hp on 91 octane ?I'm Goin to remove my cats as well to gain more power but the tune is usually my favorite mod on turbo engines Just haven't figured which one is the best for the raptor yet Tx

The MPT 91 PRX is the performance tune for 91 octane. They also have a 91 towing tune. When you buy it for $699, you get three tunes and the NGauge to load them into your truck.

How many are running just the 93 or 91 MPX tune with no other mods? Have you had heat sink/power fade issues with the stock intercooler?

Most people buy just the tune, since it gives you the greatest bang for your buck!

The IC debate continues to go back and forth on the usefulness for a heavy truck like ours. Some say an aftermarket IC is only good for dyno pulls and drag racing because the demands put on the engine under normal use is not that great. Others claim the factory IC is a hold-over from the standard F150 eco trucks and was done on the cheap for the mass market. The truth lies somewhere in the middle.

I know my FullRace IC keeps my IAT2 temps fairly low when driving spiritedly, but others claim the same for the factory IC due to the air cooling affect when moving fast. Does it allow my truck to run longer without heat soak? Sure, but does it really matter in everyday driving on and off the road? Probably not. If I was a full time drag racer or desert dirt racer, then it would definitely help.

I moved my IC up higher to allow me to cut the frame horns for a tighter bumper fit with the BD Arc light. Since I was also planning to add the MPT tune, it mades sense to do it all at once.

14 AVG around town, 18 Highway, I've even seen 19.4 if I stayed at 70MPH highway, but that never lasts.

My 6.2, which i Loved, got 12 no matter what.

Kandewinn, how's the shifting on your MPT tune? Any difference between regular and sport? No bad habits? Thanks

Some weirdness at first, but what was awesome with MPT was that I contacted them with my issues and they made adjustments to my tune for my specific truck. Those guys were awesome, and the truck acts totally different in Normal vs Sport Modes. Shifts can still be harshish in Sport depending on how much or little you accelerate (More Acceleration is Best in Sport, shifts are fast and seamless). I find myself driving in Normal most days, as the truck is very responsive and shift logic/gear holding is spot on.

Nice, well it sounds like MPT tune is what the majority go with on the forums? Amazing what simply a cai and tune can do with these trucks. Also really need some better throttle response. I've heard just that alone helps the truck feel faster and better mpg too.

A CAI on a TT truck provides questionable advantages on its own.

The 93 PRX tune gives you the most HP for your money and the CAI is probably the lowest HP for the buck.

Really? I would have thought allowing the turbos to breath better would net some extra power, especially compared to a NA engine.

Well you would be correct if there was a flow-limiting component that was actually restricting the airflow. There is none on the 3.5 TT EB Raptor. If really want to learn something, just review the differences in the “regular” F150 3.5TT EB and the Raptor HO version. The difference is TURBOs and tune, nothing else. Throwing aftermarket parts on the Raptor with stock turbos is wasting your time and money. However, if it makes you (people) “feel” better then go for it.

There are a lot of opinions on aftermarket parts like exhuast, CAI, adapters, etc. Fordza thinks the tune is the only advantage. It is the most significant, but do not let one guys opinion sway you. There are a lot of us on here that know there are gains to be had from add ons. Do the research yourself, try some stuff, and make your own opinion. I have 2 raptors, heavily modded and can tell you there are gains and improvements to be had with these additions.
