Any order for a vehicle that hasn't entered scheduling will be given a hold status. That doesn't mean that the order hasn't been taken. Just means that they can't schedule it. That's nothing new or unique to raptor. It's just the way it works on a new vehicle, even new model years of the regular F150. They take orders for a month so that they know the demand, can order parts, figure out how to fit them into the production line, etc.

Anyone saying that ford isn't accepting orders either doesn't know what they're talking about or is a troll. There is a sh*t ton of FUD being spread around here and no one should pay a lick of attention to it.

Scheduling is supposed to start 8/25 and production sometime after 9/26. That's for the standard F150, so raptor will come after that and no one knows what that means since it's just 'late availability'. Could be a week, could be a month.

There is a very lengthy and detailed description of how ford's ordering process works on another raptor forum. If it's kosher to link to it here let me know and I will.

Accepting orders into a soft hold type system? Somewhat of a limbo for the orders? Accepted but not accepted? As in they are in the order system but not really in the order system? Ford should clear somethings up....

It just proves my point Order Banks do not open till SEPT 2 months from now.The 145 inch wheelbase I see in this order will be held till MARCH17.

I'm not a troll...I want to order a truck. I've talked to 2 owners of dealerships that have had them in their families for decades. They tell me they can't put the orders in. People say they have proof and I have sent that along and was told those are not submitted orders. Both have had extensive talks with their reps, in different regions, and neither rep knows anything about the Raptor orders been accepted.

So again, instead of talking a bunch of shit, why don't you be of use and provide me with the proof so I can get a truck ordered.
