I'd go north, Southern California hotter than hell right now.

TJ sucks, I'd drive right on through TJ on to Rosarita, Porto Nuevo for Lobster, Ensenada. Years ago we went there all the time, but times have changed, not safe there anymore.

So Cal is having a mini heat wave so you might not want to come south, unless you hug the coast, like stay on the 101. Today, it was 82 degrees a few miles from the coast and 73 right at the beach because of the marine layer. If 82 doesn't bother you then go for it, but it's a muggy kind of stagnant heat. I hate it.
