So you hate the ADM, totally get it... have you ever sold an item for more than you paid? If so then no better than the dealer you are tattle telling on. ADM's suck but its a part of every industry for in demand products.
Dealers are not getting business they are used to, so the lost revenue has to be made up somewhere. That ADM is helping keep people employed and paying the overheard. If you dont like a dealer charging an ADM then move on to one that doesnt , there are PLENTY of dealers selling for MSRP.

Ford is not saying they will punish dealerships for charging ADMs, they are saying that they will punish them for charging unreasonable ADMs. My question is at what point is an ADM unreasonable??

Im honestly surprised that so many are OK with dealers marking up vehicles to the extent that they are.... Just because you can do something and its a "free market" doesnt make it right. As a business owner, if my employees were ripping people off using my product, I would want to know about it. i.e Tell Ford dealers are being blood sucking vultures and shafting people just because they can.

Just my two cents.

In my opinion $10k and up is “unreasonable”
2k, 5k for a non 37pp is reasonable
7.5k for a 37pp is also reasonable.

My brief 2 cents...
I don't mind adm but I do mind excessive adm's. $20k, $30k, $50k? They are providing no more of a service than when I bought my Gen 1 at invoice.

More than adm I hate that there are so many incorrect prices listed for these vehicles. I can't think of any other industry that gets away with this type of false advertising. I believe that there are limitations in the current system with regard to auto uploading however in this day and age the system should be upgraded to address it. I find it comical that people thinking they have to call 200 dealers is acceptable. I admit that maybe all manufacturers have this problem. I just started looking elsewhere and I can't speak to them yet.

Lastly, between the excessive adm and the ridiculous process to find out the true price of a raptor I'm looking to other brands. That is where Ford should be concerned. I assume I'm not the only one.

Did it affect your life?
Anyone in the market for a new Raptor is 100%, absolutely affected by the gotta have it RIGHT ******* NOW shopper willing to just throw away money for the privilege of having the Raptor.
Have you seen dealer lots?
I’m trying real hard to give a damn.

Nope. Can’t do it.
I might could consider giving a damn if I didn’t have to run the gauntlet of swindling attempts in order to buy whatever vehicle I wanted over the years.

The best part of having a free market is having the option to say no thank you and not pay more than you believe the item is worth. The reason dealers can get away with high markups is because the consumer is still willing to pay the price
If you don’t need the commodity, you have options. That’s a good situation to be in. What about Super Duty’s? Those guys in Canada with the big rigs mucking things up right now, they’re a huge part of the supply chain. But a lot of the stuff they haul or within 1-2 layers are the guys and gals who have enough money for 1 vehicle to do it all; the big @ss Super Duty that hauls their hay, crops, firewood, family to work/school/church/synagogue/mosque/circle, range, pickup feed for livestock. They’re the ones who do the producing, growing of things and all.

These guys aren’t necessarily recreational purchasers and I know that’s a different use case than the Raptor, but the ADM is on heavy duty trucks also.
If the guy who wants the SD to haul his 911 track car pays 40k over to get the truck, you can rest assured some podunk farmer isn’t getting it. Yeah, they’ll land something eventually but the collateral effect is real.

If I’m hit by a hurricane and without power for weeks, I’d much rather sit on my butt and wait for FEMA to show up months later to rescue me rather than pay $10k to a guy from somewhere else who had the initiative to fill his pickup with generators and drive all night to gouge me. NOT Those laws make it illegal to help others. Is that really what we want?
LOL. Good point.

Government, large corporations and the super wealthy would take advantage of us all. Having government, which I think gets in the way sometimes but also does good things is a requirement in our world but, who's worse the big corporations or big government, pick your poison. Is there a happy medium?
So, they’re not taking advantage of us now?
The happy medium isn’t in the middle, it’s heavily skewed against government intervention, but that’s not what the original topic was about, it was more centered around outrageous to us overcharges for the Raptor. There’s plenty of that out there for sure.

That’s a fair point.

A lot of people on FRF are PI$$ED at Ford, their stealerships, and the industry but others have hinted at it or said it outright.

The real enemy is right here on FRF; it’s US.
We’re the ones paying the money for the truck, and a subset of us are overpaying for it, willingly. This is why there are ADM or over MSRP pricing.

Here's the deal. Who is ford or you to tell others how to spend their money? Why are you so damn angry that someone spent $50k over for their truck? Did it affect your life?

I seriously don't get it.

Further, Ford ain't gonna do NOTHING. The dealers that are out there with the biggest markups are Fords highest volume dealers. They're not going to take 20 raptor allocations from California and give them to Minnesota. Nothing is going to happen, it's hogwash.
Damn, a person that understands the economy, I’m impressed! I am mystified as to the reason so many people bought into Brandon’s crap. if people do not understand money they should quit playing video games. My deceased mother, whom lived through the Great Depression and only graduated from the 8th grade, told me “money is power, learn about it”. Lucky for me, I listened.

Smurf, I wish you were correct, but you are wrong. A 10k ADM is a bargain now compared to prices when Biden is booted!

They don't give a damn...go cry in the corner. This is the car biz--scummy at best before Brandon even worse after.

Don't like it buy something else.
