If you think Ford is really going to do anything about it think again. They got their money from the dealerships. Its the dealerships that are the ones go hit them up and they will just tell you pound salt. There is always someone out there willing to pay the price. Also try Going out and buying a new C8 right now, talk about mark up. Im an owner of a C7 as well and its unreal what I can get for my car right now. I will take 90K for it and there is a lot more to than just its outer skin.

The address contact is good. I think the letters should focus on delivery of 2021s. I ordered mine June 11,2021. Still waiting. Going on 9 months. Was built October 6.

Smurf, I wish you were correct, but you are wrong. A 10k ADM is a bargain now compared to prices when Biden is booted!

First, I’m not invoking the Harris/Biden regime here, let’s set that discussion aside. The Raptor is a 100% discretionary purchase. Some people simply refuse to believe that there are buyers at MSRP because that would mean there are sellers at MSRP, which for buyers at above MSRP is painful at least at some level. Second, Californian Raptor purchasers at least have been fleeing the state to buy out of state for ages now.

A $10,000 overcharge for an impatient Raptor buyer is a bargain maybe, but any overcharge is a dollar too much.

Ford dealers have had ADM on "special" models and vehicles before it was a cool thing to do. I remember seeing the mark up on a 2000 Cobra R.

If you want it, you can buy it. If you disagree, walk away. I think most everyone understands its frustrating to want a vehicle and have to pay extra on top of the MSRP but its suggested MSRP not set in stone.
Jayzus. I can remember seeing ADM on the 1987 Buick GNX.

They made 300 cobra Rs for the 2000 model year. They make thousands of raptors and Shelbys every year over multiple years. I get what you’re saying but that’s a bad comparison lol.

This is market economics for the current climate and it is a tough market to score a deal in. If you’re looking or if you’re ordering you have to spend a lot of time finding the right stealership to order or buy from. Patience is required now, even more so than in ’16-’18.

I disagree, what I paid and what it’s value are can be two different things.
Also, I am not a dealer who should be relying on returning customers, word of mouth, online reviews, etc.
Taking advantage of your customers is not good for future business.
My uncle was a Chevrolet new car salesman back in the 70s. He believed in treating people fairly and he made a good living and retired after a long career.
He was a man of integrity and many of his customers also became his friends.
He would be a needle in a giant haystack in today’s car sales industry.

Dealers are not getting business they are used to, so the lost revenue has to be made up somewhere.
While that may be true now, that has little to do with ADM. ADM has been around by greedy dealers for years.

I'm no wizard about this stuff, "I'm just a simple caveman, you world frightens and scares me". Doesn't all this boil down to personal choice. It equates imo to the housing market exactly. Since were staying put for awhile where we moved to my wife said we must buy a house "NOW!". But every time other buyers were offering $30k-$60k over asking price, and I REFUSED to offer that. There is just something that ruins it for me when all the comps around are one value but I'm "expected" to pay more for it than its worth just because others are willing to pay more. So I stuck to my guns and would not offer more. I could if i was inclined at all cost to get a house but I'm not. I'll wait and maybe/maybe not it will level out to normal purchase pricing. I hope the people who paid soooo much over "msrp" on their house are happy, but I'm happy i didn't. Just like I'm happy I paid msrp on my 2020 raptor and not a dime more (I picked a dealership who only does sticker pricing), I hope the guys who pay adm are happy too. I think impatience has a lot to do with dealer adm, if people wait the price will come down. But we all want what we want NOW.

What people seem to forget is, over charge is a subjective term. The market dictates the price, otherwise none of the ADM’s would sale. There are many people bidding home prices up, same principle. Those people want to live in a specific area and are willing to pay for it. Until my current truck, I always refused to pay MSRP, but I knew the market would command a premium, which is the reason I paid a 5k ADM for a 37. I already own a 2019, so I certainly did not need another Raptor, but I bought it as a hedge against inflation and if KBB is correct, I can trade it for more money than I paid OTD, which means it was worth the ADM. Although no person knows what the future holds, I believe the price of the truck will continue to rise, probably along with everything else. I paid cash for my house in 2019 and due to price increases, I would not have enough cash to pay for it today. Same with the truck, I paid cash, but I believe in the current climate it will take more cash to buy the same truck in four years, only time will tell.

Or, when one year old trucks are being sold well above MSRP? Price controlling all the retail and secondary markets is impossible. Unfortunately, there are those that will try. Welcome Venezuela.

The dealership I work with locally has never charged ADM. got my 2020 gt500 from them and my 37pp at MSRP.

Sounds like you don’t understand that the ADM’s are the one of the causes of the high secondary market.

ADM's/Sellers don't set the market. Buyers always set the market.
Every seller always charges what the market will bear. Let me know when you are willing to sell something below market because you think the market is too high.
