What Biden have to do with the gauging of the dealership?
all around the world the economy is screwed, inflation is the name.
What causes inflation?
Inflation reflects the broad rise of prices or the fall in the value of money. It generally results from too much demand chasing too few goods or limited services, leading to price increases

You think because you live in USA you got a free ride?
you want it,you paid for it!

Ford dealers have had ADM on "special" models and vehicles before it was a cool thing to do. I remember seeing the mark up on a 2000 Cobra R.

If you want it, you can buy it. If you disagree, walk away. I think most everyone understands its frustrating to want a vehicle and have to pay extra on top of the MSRP but its suggested MSRP not set in stone.

Here's the deal. Who is ford or you to tell others how to spend their money? Why are you so damn angry that someone spent $50k over for their truck? Did it affect your life?

I seriously don't get it.

Further, Ford ain't gonna do NOTHING. The dealers that are out there with the biggest markups are Fords highest volume dealers. They're not going to take 20 raptor allocations from California and give them to Minnesota. Nothing is going to happen, it's hogwash.
Yr right , they are free to pay 50k adm. It just makes them retarded.

I think Ford will do something soon. If they see dealers selling vehicles for ADM and people are still buying then I bet they up the price by February 15th, 2022. Just a hunch.

They made 300 cobra Rs for the 2000 model year. They make thousands of raptors and Shelbys every year over multiple years. I get what you’re saying but that’s a bad comparison lol.

Im honestly surprised that so many are OK with dealers marking up vehicles to the extent that they are.... Just because you can do something and its a "free market" doesnt make it right. As a business owner, if my employees were ripping people off using my product, I would want to know about it. i.e Tell Ford dealers are being blood sucking vultures and shafting people just because they can.

Just my two cents.
You don't own a business, if you did this wouldnt be your reply if your competitor down the road was selling a hot product for 10k over MSRP.... and getting it. If my supply was limited and customers were willing to pay over retail, I would mark up the product up. Is someone twisting your arm and forcing you top pay a ADM? NO, if you dont like it you move on to another dealer. In 2019 and some of 2020 you could buy a Raptor for 8000 off MSRP, I dont recall anyone feeling sorry for dealers that couldnt give away a Raptor and paying MSRP as a gesture of kindness.

Imagine being a Rolex dealer selling a steel Daytona for 14k, knowing the clown buying it is going to flip it for 45K as soon as he walks out the door. Said dealer has a huge rent to pay, salaries and other overheard.. that 14k sale probably nets him 2-3k when the smoke is clear all the while the "customer" makes a 30k profit.

The market is out of whack, it WILL COLLAPSE.. it always does. Dealers will discount again, but right now the market is what it is.. don't like it .. dont buy.

Fair point. These shortages aren't going to slow down until the end part of 2023 or longer. It's temporary but it comes at a huge cost.

Inflation will still continue to rise after the feds start with rate hikes; that will make all lenders reduce risk tolerance so not everyone will be able to get a vehicle financed as easy as it is today. Domino effect will start with mortgage lending being cut, businesses starting lay offs due to the increased price of operation won't be able to afford to keep all employees and if they do then its a cost passed on to the consumer that is already paying more for groceries, health care, housing, etc.

I do own a business. I just operate it ethically… I’m not saying raising prices due to demand is a bad thing. We have to do this sometimes. I have done this recently due to material cost increases. That being said, 50k over sticker is just greedy and ethically wrong. Again, that’s just my opinion. To each their own.

Totally agree on all points. We as buyers have a choice. While I love the Raptor and would be a drop in a bucket financially, I have personally chosen to sit back and wait as I don’t have to have a Raptor and can put ADM money to better use. You are right about a collapse and think it will happen sooner than later as the current economic and other conditions are simply unsustainable. I have seen several over my 55 years and think this one is going to be an eye opener to many. I am fortunate to be selling my business at the high point before any decline.

The only issue I have with ADM is on special order/ones that are allocated for customers only and not a stock order. You want to raise prices on your stock order go ahead.

But if the only way I can get a lightning is to reserve on ford.com, build it there and pay the deposit and then my local dealership wants to charge me an extra 10k to accept the delivery and take some film off.... Then I have a slight issue
