It’s too late in the year to consider a 2023 UNLESS you get an amazing deal on one.

Tip: Try to negotiate in person about 1-hour before they close on October 31st, the last day of the month. A hungry dealer will bite, especially if it’s been a slow month.

We’ve been saying this for 18 months. Is it coming or not?

Just wait for it. If you thought 2008 was bad... fasten your seatbelts.
Yeah, that’s in the back of my head, and has been for almost the entirety of the Biden administration. My business is directly tied to new home construction. When I heard a sheet of plywood was 80 bucks during the plandemic, I figured I’d be laying off people and hunkering down to try and weather through the storm. But no, it’s been absolutely bonkers, I’m so busy and unable to hire” competent” help that a small slow down would be welcomed. There’s an email on my desk just this morning from the biggest builder of custom homes in the area” September sales have been strong, full steam ahead”. These are 2-3 million dollar homes, selling like hot cakes, it makes no logical sense, but here we are.If an R is in my future, it will be my last” premium” vehicle. I’m not getting any younger and need to think about life beyond work. If no R happens,it doesn’t matter. I’m happy to focus on my peasant spec Gen 2 and the wife is happy with her garage queen Gen 3.
Sadly there will be no slow down, things are gonna be worse than 2008, just when, IDK.

Exactly, it’s the only reason I’m even considering it, is the timing. This dealer has an R and two Braptors on the lot that as far as I know were not pre ordered by customers, not really sure how they got them as they are not part of a huge chain of dealerships. They may want some of that off their books. They had an orange Braptor that had been preordered for someone a few weeks ago.

The problem is most R's haven't been sitting for 90 days...that's when dealers start to care. Also this is a big profit item for them and they could care less about 'moving it' at the end of the month for unit move--it ain't a Lariat. That is why you don't, and won't see dealers going from $50K to MSRP at the end of the month or anytime. It's simple math. Wishing and hoping is never a good strategy. They won't get another R until probably Feb '24...they are in no hurry to let that kinda profit disappear.

I think you have a good shot at MSRP if they have already quoted 10K ADM over the phone. Show up in person and I bet you get it.

Most would take it at 10K over anyway.

Oh no doubt you speak the truth. But again, don’t know if you don’t ask.
And not every dealer is stuck on huge ADM even if they throw it on there, can’t blame them. Having a history of multiple purchases over the years has got to be a factor.
A friend of mine, I’m the same business got a GT 350R at MSRP based on his fleet purchase history, he’s a bigger fish than I am though.
I’ve heard of a few people, and I’m taking them at their word, getting MSRP deals on an R.

I kind of disagree. Just two months ago when searching for a 37, they all wanted 15-20K over for a 37PP. I told them I would not pay that when the 24's are coming real soon with huge technology updates. I got one 37PP (funky spec) down to 7500 over MSRP but passed. I ended up picking up a nicely equipped 35 at MSRP due to it having the specs I wanted, other than 37PP. Now those dealers with 23's are all calling me back with a total different attitude and much lower ADM offer trying to make sales.

At least thats been my recent experience shopping in SOCAL only.
you confirm what i say:
R $ 50-30
37 $ 15-5
35 $ 10 -0
