Looks like I'm narrowing it down to a Gen 1. I'm trying to be smart with money and going with the cheaper Gen 1 over a brand new one seems smart. I want to be able to modify it down the road. So I will need everyone's help as I get one. I already have a few questions, so I'll search the internet first to see if I can figure a few things out

Do yourself a favor and go gen 1!! Have owned 2 my 2011 had 163k miles of pure abuse (700hp whipple) and never gave me a issue. I literally beat the **** out of that thing and it kept on going then I traded it for a 19 gen 2 loved it for a week or two. Then I tuned it and did exhaust same as you and hated the way the v6 sounded and the multiple gear changes ( 10 gears is too many in my opinion ) I missed it soo much 1 month later I traded it for a 14 and have been happy ever since! Lesson learned but to each there own!

No offense to any gen 2 owners I was one for a short while! Really nice modern truck but to be honest I felt like the ecoboost was the wrong engine for the raptor and the 10 speed was a problem waiting to happen just my opinion. Not trying to say anything bad about gen 2 just my opinion from owning 3 raptors 2 gen 1s and 1 gen 2

Because sitting in mom's basement while pulling your pud, is not an acceptable source of income on a loan application.

They approved me once I assured them I could do it lefty OR righty, that I did it full time, and that I had a man-bun! My mom's basement is really nice though.

Exactly! That 10 speed is ridiculous when trying to sound awesome as you speed past...it's like is it ever going to stop? Complete crap in that aspect

Damn that's some impressive miles for sure. Right now I think the Gen 1 is the right choice def 2013-14

I want sync 3 more then anything though so I've priced out the $1500 upgrade. That's #1 on my list for upgrades. I found one I like with a SC on it already with 61k miles for $38k...Sounds reasonable?

Wait I just saw one with a camera on the front...I didn't think they had this back then...Can anyone tell me how it compares to the Gen 2 cameras? This is one thing I liked most on my gen 2 that I had...

If I get one without a front camera is this something I could add?
