as a current ecocrap powered 2015 explorer( wife's car) it gets no better than 18.2 mpg with a woman driving it, now imagine that motor making more power( more gas is needed) on a heavier truck( more gas is needed) with crappier aerodynamics ( more gas is needed) and a lead foot.....
To be clear, the 3.5L V6TT in the 2017 Raptor is not the same motor as in the Explorer or current F150:
"It starts with a new block, heads, pistons, and intake, plus bigger turbos. Ford adds a dual-injection system, a combination of port and direct fuel injection, like Subaru uses on the BRZ/FR-S motor. That makes the H.O. 3.5 the first and only EcoBoost engine to use port injection. Ford calls this a second-generation EcoBoost, so maybe that dual-injection scheme will spread to other engines."
and don't forget, 10-speed will equate to better gas mileage.

You probably dont want to put gas in a back pack and ride around with it on your back...
