It was still an accident, he didn't leave the pre-filter inside the air filter on purpose.
Of you pull up to a gas pump and accidentally fill your tank with diesel fuel this coverage would help you.
Obviously if the insurance can prove it was intentional then there won't be any coverage.
Here is how it was explained to me years ago by my insurance agent.
Let's say you are retarded and store 5 gallons of gas next to your water heater. Your house burns down.
Insurance will pay for everything EXCEPT a gas can and 5 gallons of gas.
