I believe in one of the videos he did say he's returning to stock for warranty. So that's not going to be a good look.

I just wonder if he ever had the repairs and tested the shake still bone stock.

Just realized I posted this in the exterior forum for some odd reason. Meant to be in the General Forum if someone can move it!

Anyways just reading comments on his videos and he admits this happened on his 2017 only AFTER installing 37s!

Additional leverage and weight of the 37’s can definitely wear on a steering rack. Part of it makes me wonder if driving style plays into it some.

Such that if 37’s are close to pushing the limits on the rack under normal circumstances and then he is breaking into obstacles like the washboard that put it over the top.

That's exactly what he is doing. He says it only happens (or is worse) when he's going into whoops and bumps and is breaking at high speed. You nailed it.

Personally, I find his vids and attitude in regards to the repairs and interactions with Ford a bit arrogant. He’s shocked that Ford pulled the plug on his warranty? Really?

This is the problem with a lot of folks nowadays. Very few take personal responsibility for their actions and then wanna cry foul when shit doesn’t go their way. I’ve seen his videos where he’s jumping the shit outta that truck. He beats the hell out of that rig just like he did the white one he had prior. Not to mention all his upgrades seem to be done in the front driveway which screams of a backyard mechanic. Who’s to say half the shit he installed was or was not installed correctly or professionally?

I’m with Ford in this. I’d deny further repairs and let him take it to court. Ford has the time and they definitely have the money. Hell who knows, maybe he will actually prevail. But I seriously have my doubts.

If he had this issue back when it was completely stock and brought it to the dealer to diagnose and potentially fix it, it would have started a paper trail documenting the issue even when it was stock and he’d have a more arguing case. However, it wasn’t documented until after he modified the vehicle and he even returned it to stock multiple times (at a minimum factory tire size) getting warranty work done before this because ultimately he knows his issue is a BS case.

I don’t personally care for his videos. Case in point when he refers to a “bolt kit”. Is he referring to RPG’s “bolt kit” or just any bolt-on mid travel/long travel kit?

As far as a heavily modified vehicle, his truck isn’t very modified, but I guess using relative terms such as “heavily” depends on ones perspective. Having said that I do not agree with returning to stock to “cheat” the system.

Installed in the driveway can be just as good or better than some professional shops, always comes down to the installer.

As far as denying warranty over him driving it offroad. What constitutes abuse when the vehicle was marketed as such?
