Seafoam or similar would be a waste of money at 2000 miles. At 5000 and every next five I'd put a fuel treatment in it like BG 44k or Chevron with Techron fuel system cleaner. At 20000-30000 you might look at doing a seafoam treatment. It's also helps to run the engine harder on occasion.
If you keep the left over oil in the catch can at a low level, I don't see it making its way back up and into the pcv system. Even during hard off roading.
I did my oil change at 5,800 on Saturday. My passenger catch can had about a tea spoon of oil. The drivers side, still completely dry. I purposely overfilled the oil in my truck to see if it'll push any oil into the catch cans. And by overfilling, I mean I put 8 quarts in aka 2 gallons of oil. We'll see what happens.
Thank you for your reply. I've always stayed away from fuel system treatments. Think they're really worth it? You're a Ford Tech so I trust your judgment.
Hmm...I always thought overfilling was a bad idea.
