Im telling you that there were NO updates/changes/service bulletins, etc from a March 2017 build to August 2018.

Are you calling my dealer a liar?

your info sucks and isnt right or intelligent.
dealers have absolutely ******* 0 to do with the company called Ford.
they dont get good info or trustworthy info.

every car company on the planet makes little changes without telling the whole world. i am telling you, there have been changes made from the 2017-2018. maybe not large enough to hold a dealership press conference. but they are CONSTANTLY trying to update and fix things that may break in the future.

you a dummy
:specialed:

lol hell, there are even visual changes from 2017, to 2018 that a simple GOOGLE will show you. damn man lol....

a direct quote from you says there are no changes.
i cant keep up with someone that doesnt make any sense.

there have been changes, sorry you think there havent been. the development team, that doesnt work at a dealership by the way. are always working on improving common issues with new models. from singed wires, to melting pistons, to valve bodies randomly going out. maybe slow, but they are working on it, and they release changes with each new year. to think they dont again makes you a special ed.

Sorry Jose', is english not your first language?
Here are my exact words.

"They did not change anything meaningful or the way they are produced. I know that goes against what sounds like logic but it doesnt work that way. Sorry

But, if you want to get a '18 becuase of value or the slight changes they made then that makes sense to go that route. At this point, I would probably try to get an '18, but not because it will be any more reliable than a later build '17."

And again, there were NO significant changes that would affect reliabilty from a March "2017" build to a July "2018" build.

Sorry If you dont understand how car production works, and I dont have a fix for stupid.

hopefully you would use it on yourself if you did.

you are trying to lock in a W with a semantics argument.
changes were made, all were important on a nearly 80k fully loaded truck. i would imagine everything they are doing is helping.

enjoy your semantics argument.

Features are added during the model year switchover (speakers, key fob, etc), but manufacturing fixes are implemented as soon as they are ready. This is why many part numbers depend on build date, not model year.

completely agree. but it does depend.

but to deny that they are making changes always and through the year or years is just nonsensical.
also it depends on the scale of fixing, the rear frame issue on the previous generation raptors werent implemented until 2013 model year, so its not all set in stone.

As is the case on internet forums, there is no shortage of opinions but there's usually a dearth of facts.

Does anyone know about the 2017 Model Year Job 2 date? The Super Duty forum is all over Job 1 vs. Job 2 for the 2017 Model Year. I'm hoping some here know when and what was changed.

Knowing this will help those who have no idea how a car company like Ford makes running changes to their vehicles in production.

Here's an example about the 2017 Super Duty:

job #2 builds starts on or after 2/20 and is outlined on the 1/5/17 order guide on the second page. Will there be a complete Job #2 order guide released soon or will the 1/5 guide stand (just showing about 15 changes). Just seeing what changes are expected for job #2. Thanks

Here's an example of a running change by Ford on the Super Duty (maybe it was the same change made by Ford on the 2017 Raptor?):

Job 2 cup holders have a different retention device inside the opening. Early 17s had rubber pads and now it looks more like rectangular holds.
