Is it normal to have power loss in heavy sand?

What is the proper order in your opinion?
Also did you deflate your tires?

One thing. If you lower your tire pressure below 30psi (low pressure light ON) you CAN NOT go into ORM and full unlock from nannies. It will only go into off road sport mode and the nannies will kick in quite a bit with the amount of wheel spin and sliding in sand. Plus, every time you switch back and forth between 2 and 4wd you have to stop and hold the traction control button again.

Cody, that aint right. At least on mine. You just have to acknowledge the low pressure warning by pushing the reset knob in the IC first. THEN you can do the 10 second hold for TC defeat.:driver:

ORM
Rear Locker/4WD
Dismiss Low Tire Pressure Warning by pressing the reset stem on Guage Cluster
Hold Traction Control until it flashes
Tear Ass
(all while in drive, if you change gear you may lose some settings)

Make sure you do it in right order..
Lock locker
Off road mode
Press traction control once to get into sport mode and wait for message to disappear. Then press and hold traction control until chime and message pops up that say "traction control off"

Both work - the main thing to keep in mind is the LAST thing you do, is hold the trac control button for 5-10 seconds...

To add to Maxx's video, when engaging 4Low, the gear shift must be in neutral to allow the T-case to shift. Same principles apply - Gear N, Knob 4L, Pull for posi - then hold trac control.

In what conditions do you use 4L vs 4H?

When you are in the soup (heavy mud/wet sand) or going uphill. You will know it when you are lugging along and are not in the powerband... Feels like you should downshift more but nowhere left to go.

OIC, thanks, that helps a lot.

I generally use 4H but I rarely get into anything that actually luggs me down. I just wanted to make sure I was using the appropriate gearing for the situation.
