I give up.

How do you make the instrument panel display the gear the truck is in?

Mine was doing it fow a while, and I liked seeing how the truck was shifting and downshifting, but somehow it went away.

Can't find it in the user manual.

Anyone know how to turn this feature on?

Thanks.

the + and - buttons shift when you are in manual mode. as far as display, i believe someone was able to get one other feature to display on the guage cluster. dont remember who though.

You push the + button on the shifter once and it will show the 1/2/3/4/5/6 on the side of the display by the speedometer. This allows the truck to be in any gear it needs and it will visibly show you what gear the truck is in. Warning: If you push the - button it will eliminate the 6 and not allow the truck to shift into 6th gear. Push the - again it would get rid of the 5th gear and so on. Make sure you can see 1-6 so that the truck can shift thru it’s entire gearbox. I use this for downshifting in the mountains and whatnot, but be careful to not unintentionally keep the truck from shifting properly into its higher gears

Yes, use this method if you can't count from 1 - 6 in your head, you'd be lost in a gen2 or 3 with a 10 speed, ha ha.
