Grew up with Ford trucks on the farm, 80's F650/750 grain trucks, '72 F250 Camper Special, standard '84 F250 4x4, '84 F150, Ford van - yep the big one 1979, even an '86 Bronco II (not sure why dad did that). My first car was an '84 Celica and still a big Toy/Lex fan. Have had several 80 series LC, LX470, current '09 LX570. Have had several Fox Bodies as well.
Story is I had a LX470 and wife's LX570 which we do all of our off-roading in. So no need for my 296k miles 470. Wanted either a '13-'14 GT500 or a truck (but not a normal truck!!).
I wanted blue and had to be 13-14 and under 120k. Not much to pick from. Had eyes on a couple in Missouri. Browsing CL nationally and ran across my unicorn. Blue, supercharged, 97k, ORIGINAL OWNER. He said it went right from Ford to Roush for Stage 2 pkg. Unbelievable condition. Could not pass it up. Wife and I flew to MN and drove back 26 hrs straight through. Best drive ever. Have had it since December.
Day we picked it up.
