Everyone wants a 7 day event for $100, but as this tour will be mostly all-inclusive it will not be cheap. Nice hotels, great food, etc. The final price depends on sponsors and that has taken a little longer than I had hoped. Also negotiating with some of the restaurants and hotels slowed things a bit. My goal is under $2000 for two people. Again, it won't appeal to everyone but those who do go will absolutely get their moneys worth! It's basically a week long vacation with a bunch of your new best friends. More details next week.

Yes, this IS a road trip. I specifically picked the absolute best driving roads west of the Rockies for this trip. Just because its a truck doesn't mean you can't enjoy driving it on paved roads. Lots of people either forget or simply overlook what a great ON-ROAD vehicle the Raptor is. Other than fuel economy I would rather take a long road trip in the Raptor than in almost any other car. Smooth, comfortable, quiet, powerful and gets way more looks than my Mustangs.

You will have almost a full day in Moab on 7/4 plus two high altitude passes on 7/5. There will be good opportunity to get some air. I would have put in a bit more off-road time if I could have but the only way to have done that was to increase the length of the trip which I felt was long enough already. In order to get from the lowest road in America to the highest I had to balance as much as I could.

Think of this trip less of an off-road excursion and more of a 6 day (family friendly) party and scenic trip with 20 or 30 new people. We are all staying at the same hotels and following the same route, all eating together. By the end of this trip you will have made some great new friends and have a phone filled with new numbers. The social aspect of the event is what can not be found anywhere else with any other Raptor event.

I think a number of us in Colorado might be interested. What are your thoughts on us meeting up with you somewhere in the middle? Maybe half the trip, half the cost? I'm the group sponsor for Raptors of the Rockies. We've done a number of the passes in Colorado. Hayden's Pass, Medano Pass, and Rawley Mine. Just east of Denver is CORE (Colorado Off Road Extremes). It's a great off road course. About 8 different tracks, including a desert short track, and long track. $15/person all day.

Anyway, your trip sounds like a lot of fun!

I would prefer you do the whole trip as socializing and meeting new people is a really big part of this tour, but I also understand that not everyone can make the whole trip.

I would certainly be willing to look at a partial tour for you and a few others, but that would be dependant on space available. Get back to me once registration opens and we can talk about it more.

So many cool events this year(for my Raptor and the Evo), not enough time to make them(unless I win the powerball in which case I'm going to everything).

I totally understand your position. Hopefully we can work something out. Sometimes I wish I lived in Southern California, since a lot of events happen over there.

We look forward to any opportunity to meet other Raptor owners. One Raptor is awesome, a group of Raptors is pure awesome!

Are you guys also headed to the Texas Raptor Run this year?

It is unlikely that I will be at this years Texas Raptor Run. I have a Mustang Club of America National event in Beaumont that same weekend and will be running two vendor booths. I asked Trey to move the Run, but he wouldn't do it

I had such a great time last year that it kills me I cant be back for this years Run!

I will do my best to make something work for you on the Raptor Extremes tour. We will just have to see as we get a little closer.

Great meeting you guys at TRR this weekend guys. This event sounds pretty darn cool. Let me know when you're ready to come out and prerun the Death Valley to Vegas portion. I am more than happy to help in any way I can. We'll see if we can drum up RPG Nation to come along!
