I’ve been reading that the icon leafs on option 1 perform best with around 300-400 lbs in the bed. I don’t have any weight in my bed and so I think I that is why I feel a rougher/firmer ride on and off road.

is there a way to remove a “single” leaf from the pack? As in, a leaf less than option 1. (As shipped)

if not I plan on finding something to weight down my rear end but this seems silly to me... literally first thought that came to mind was to put sand bags back there while off-roading.

Was also planning on putting drop shackles on the rear to lower it an inch or so. That way I can reduce the preload on my front Kings and still maintain a level look. There’s a lot of space between my rear fender and wheel. I’m on 35 inch ridge grapplers.

running a set of longer shackles is always good for making the rear cycling smoother. That will lower ur ride height a bit. Another easy way to add some weight in the bed is to move the spare (or 2) into the bed. Which is most beneficial if u ever have to use it on a run. Sucks getting it from under the truck when ur in the mud lol. Also think about some recovery gear, extra fuel etc. just a few options to get a little weight in the bed and also a bunch of good stuff to have off road too! Cheers

I’ve now been told that if I add drop shackles to my setup... I run the risk of my rear axle hitting the bed.

That's what bump stops are for ;)

Here's my .02 -- I added Icon springs in the rear without lifting the front and it changed the ride significantly, but not because of stiffer springs or lack of weight. The exaggerated rake from a low front end caused the rear axle to act as a fulcrum instead of letting the suspension do it's thing, so the front would overreact to bumps while the rear would do nothing or bounce a bit. After I raised the front 1", the geometry was back to normal and it all works perfectly now. I don't know where you're at height-wise, but a level ride might address your concerns.

FYI, I'm running an additional ~100lbs in the back with SVC/FOX bumpstop kit, builtrite racks, ARB twin, BakFlip MX, and a fire extinguisher. FOX 3.0s all the way around. The ride isn't firm at all, I'd even say a bit soft when loaded with gear.

I am currently at a level ride height. I had to add around 1-1.5 inches of preload to my kings to level the truck considering I have my icons at option 1. I just don't like how much preload I have on the front coil overs. The ride quality is better when the preload is set the way King had it. I want to keep my level look and so drop shackles would lower my rear end.. but now I've been told I'll have axel-bed contact so that worries me.

I have not read about complaints. Anyone else ? I always thought $1300 springs should not make the noise of a old 80’s F250 driving with the windows down.

I now have a 2020 Raptor and thought of having the pads installed on the bottom leafs. Thoughts?

Did you have weight in the bed when on option 2? Im on option 2 on my 2018 and mine squeak as well. I will be putting my 2nd spare in bed to see if that helps before I change leafs. Thinking more weight is what I need. currently carry around 250lbs so I figure another 80lb or 100lb might help out.

I did have about 300 lbs. I noticed when I went to option 1 , they still had more capacity than the stock leafs . I was very happy except for the noise .

Spring install was delayed because of missing hardware to change spring rate on the Icons. Hope to have it by next weekend.
