Hello. Hope somebody can help. Driving from NJ to SC my 2010/6.2 crapped out on us a good 3-4 times in stop and go traffic. Had to coast to the side, pop the hood and swap the "hot" fuse for a cold one, and even let it sit for 5-10 min to cool off. Not fun on I95. So when we got to SC I did the fuse relocation. PITA!!! But the next day same thing, died in traffic. What are my other options?

Need some more details but the cooling off time makes me think its a fuel delivery problem and maybe one of these issues

Is it tuned or supercharged? Mine [Procharged] doesn't like traffic and in heavy traffic it will load up like a carb would if running rich and run awful

Your fuel pump is really going out, not the fuse

Could be that There is trash in your tank and it is getting picked up and clogging the in tank pickup screen/line and unservicable filter

Like I said....some more details please

I was thinkg fuel pump as well but the swapping of the fuse and instant restart has me scratching my head. No tune, Roush intake & exhaust is about it.

Warm/hot but not blown. Swapped it in and out a few time and it would firevright up. Last time we had to sit for 5-10 min before it would start.
see, this leads me to believe the cool off period, albeit short has more to do with this than the fuse itself

Do you know if your FPDM is badly corroded ? Any recent work or "fiddling" under the hood or w/ any electronics before your recent roadtrip btw?

The FPDM is located under the bed, drop the spare tire & take a look.

There's been a handful of past Gen 1 threads outlining similar symptoms or related "no-start" conditions that either touch on fuse 27 and/or the FPDM.

G'luck !
