So I have the Icon leafs, Icon hydraulic bump stop kit, Icon wheels, and Fox 3.0s ordered for the rear....have the fox 3.0s up front already so this should finish her off nicely. Plan is to have the leafs installed w/ Option 2.

Option #1 (as shipped)
+1.00" lift height over stock (unloaded)

Option #2
+20% spring rate over Option #1
+2.25" lift height over stock (unloaded)
+1.00" lift height over stock w/ 400lb constant load

Option #3
+40% spring rate over option #1
+3.00" lift height over stock (unloaded)
+0.50" lift height over stock w/ 850lb constant load

Sounds peachy. Take lots of photos (before and after) What wheels are you running? Sizes?

Running the stock wheels and tires. Will be keeping the KO2s on the icons and will change to something else when they’re done. Maybe the KM3s.

Yes better than stock, and obviously no wheel hop like those crappy stock springs. And after some shock adjustments last night, I don’t think I’d use the word “stiffer”. I even like the way they ride on road better than Deavers. Crappy busted up Michigan roads at that!

What adjustments are you making to the shocks? Or you have something different than stock?

Option 2 is what I'm looking at also. How much weight do you carry in the bed all the time, and where do you carry it? Looking forward to some before and after measurements on the rear.

Have the retrax bed cover w/ minimal stuff in the bed at any given time. The Icon bump stop kit weighs 82lbs. Not sure how much more the ADD rear bumper weighs than factory. But I’ll assume Truck will be ~200lbs over stock weight on the rear.

top of rear well on mine 41 3/8 inch on mine I think I'll need new springs sooner than I thought.
Front is sitting at 39 3/8

Installed the Icons this last Friday. Very easy install as I’ve swapped springs 3 times now! I originally started with +3 Deavers, then on to +HD (powder coated) Deavers, finally to Icons.
I loved the original Deavers but the harsh MN salted winter roads did a number on them, just cosmetic surface rust but nonetheless. They sat at perfect height and handled 2 37’s and jack in the bed without much squat.
I then went on to HD +3 with powder coat. I also paired with Camburg MIG stock ht shackles. For some reason truck looked like it was sitting 1/2” lower than expected. I attributed it to the shackles. If you compared range of motion/binding of the Camburg to the stock, the stock appears better. Unless Camburg sent me the wrong shackle? Couldn’t get much help over the phone from them. Seems like a lot of shops are wasting their time with questions. As an example, I called Deaver while torquing the U bolts as there is no installation guidelines. I was told 130. While torquing the bolt snapped sending schrapnel past my face. I later emailed and they apologized for bad info as torque is actually 92. I was thankful they sent another set of Ubolts however. I loved the ride despite being a bit stiffer than non HD. Great springs, planted, firm, no squeaking, good quality. Powder coat was awesome but apparently they don’t offer anymore.
Then the Icons have to be released with ht options. I told them I needed them before Thanksgiving and they delivered. As you know Icon always provides great install guidelines and are very professional over the phone and respond timely via email.
Install was easy. I went back to the stock shackles (new ones from Tasca) and added the extra leaf for the highest ride ht. It required a bit of grinding on the plastic spacer under the rebound leaf to get the Ubolts down. I only torqued to 100 despite Icon stating around 140. Much beefier hardware than Deaver. Plus I’m a little gun shy now. They also come with a nice top plate rather than boring out the wimpy stock plate.
The truck sits perfect for me now! I have Fox 3.0 with preload set an extra 4 turns from factory on front. BFG KO2 37s. I get my slight rake back. I can haul a trailer and stay level.
Best part is the ride. I put on 500 miles since install (on and off road) and it’s night and day difference. Smooth as butter and stays planted, makes you appreciate the shocks more especially when making shock adjustments. I’m sure they’ll settle a bit as well. I’ll be spraying them thoroughly with AmsoilHD MP and hope they hold up.
I’ll post some more pics later but here is with a 180lbs in bed, 300lbs frontloaded on trailer and ? Tongue weight.

Interesting. I have the ICONs for the GEN1 and just replaced them a couple weeks ago due to warranty. I torqued the ubolts to 145 as shown in their instructions and drove for about 500 miles and re-torque them again. Nothing broke. I also have the Camburg stock height replacement shackles. I put those on according to the pictures on their website. ICONs instructions showed to torque the shackles to 89 and the front bolt to 181. I called them about that because Ford shows it should be 258 for the front and 136 for the shackles. ICON shouldn’t make a difference because you are using stock bolts/nuts. The ICON rep said the instructions must be wrong and torque to Ford specs. I did the ubolts to ICON instructions because those are “their” ubolts/nuts but now wondering if they might be wrong on that too.....

It was my Deaver Ubolt that snapped at 130. The Icons are larger. I’ll retorque them soon. The Camburg shackles although built better have less ROM regardless of how mounted. Just put one on and compare with the stock shackle. I wasn’t seeing any evidence of binding other than the bushing getting hacked up a bit on one side, no contact with leaf though so maybe ROM is limited anyway. I just thought it could have been a reason for my ht discrepancy. Took me $5000 of spring trial and error and this works for me. That being said, I’ll be unloading my Deavers and Camburg shackles in the garage section.
