Look forward to hearing your opinion of them vs the Kings.

Netix is going to be putting these Kings on his 2012 Raptor, so we can take a drive in mine with the ICON's and then jump into his and go back and forth, should be able to make a comparison.

You're going to love the Icons! They're SILENT too...

My Icon up billet arms go on in the morning, before the Land Rush! Let us know how you like them compared to the kings.

Thanks Matt, the billet UCA,s look amazing and I like the fact that they were engineered to work with the ICON shocks, I have another set of upper control arms that I was going to use but decided to keep it all ICON.
The Silent operation of the rears is just icing on the cake. I previously thought all triple bypass made that clicking noise, very happy to discover that these do not.

Figured I would start the install today with something easy like the rear shocks.
Well nothing is as easy as you think. The instructions read some sanding may be necessary to make the shocks fit. I started off with a dremel but had to go find the grinder to speed things up. I'll post a picture of how much material needs to be removed. Getting the shock in place was surprisingly no easy task, You will have to recruit a neighbour for a couple of minutes of help. I called ICON for some install tips and they were very polite and helpful. One thing they could not help me with was the torque specs for the shock bolts, they said that they are not allowed to give that info, so if anyone knows I would appreciate the info.
Oh ya, painted the rotor while I had the wheel off.

How much do you need to remove on the upper shock mount? Do they feel there is still enough structure left that the bracket wont fail?

Yes, according to ICON it will not affect strength... There are always upgrade spring hangers like Chris Ross...

I only removed enough so that the shock does not hit the mount at full extension, I dont think its enough to weaken the mount. Its enough that its no task for a dremel though.

Thanks for the torque specs Greg, for some reason ICON can not give out Ford's bolt torque specs,

Thanks for the torque specs Greg, for some reason ICON can not give out Ford's bolt torque specs,

The torque spec answer comes down to liability.....Automobile manufacturers change components they are using all the time and we have no true control to know what brand / quality bolt is on each truck and what the real spec for that specific bolt would be. It's *** for tat in some eyes but if we can not knowingly provide true 100% accurate information we have to default to referring you to them for correct info for your specific vehicle. We do hope you understand.
