--Along with a higher base price.

Nothing is free. Also if you don't want the tailgate applique, the delete is a $0 cost, so you just paid for an option you don't want. I just priced out my exact truck and it is almost $2k more as an 2018 than it was as a 2017.

What 2017 price are you basing it on? My dealer has the exact truck I ordered for 2018 and the price difference was only $400 and some change. If you are basing it on original 2017 MSRP I could see it, but shouldn't be much higher than current.

My '18 order prices out to $295 over the current '17 build price.

I'm basing it on my window sticker. I was an Oct 2016 build so it was the original MSRP.

eh that doesn't make a lot of sense. Sure, the 17 is going to have depreciated a bit more than an 18, but there won't be "more than make up that 2000" worth of a difference.

are you kidding !!!!! in a few years there will be much more than 2,000 difference.

More than $2000 difference? Your joking right?

If you use the KBB or Edmunds values for a 2013 vs a 2014 and assume that all other things are equal and the mileage being 36K (since were are assuming that they are both purchased at roughly the same time), the 2013 is worth about $500 less. If you consider the same logic for a 2017 vs 2018, the results would be roughly the same. The $1500-$1800 value difference that would benefit the newer model would be offset by the low mileage value increase. Even if you adjust the mileage to account for a vehicle purchased 1 year after and having an addition 12K miles, you might have a $2000 difference in value, but to say "much more than 2,000 difference" is just ridiculous.
