How strong are the stock rods and pistons...???? - Raptor 6.2

I bought the truck from them so Im not sure about install price or time and yes its with the stock piston a rods.As for the warranty it is 1 year /12000 but im not sure that covers everything if you blow it up my guess is no.I plan on doing a fully built motor so it really didnt matter a whole lot to me.Hell you void the factory warranty if you put a tune on it so its kind of a moot point.Its the chance you take when modding a new vehicle

Yea that warranty sux...Can i ask why you paid for the Hennessey name, just to redo the whole engine?I could not imagine the price tag they threw on it after they moded it...I am going with Livernois for there forged rods n pistons....I will post up after....If you do some changes, please post some pics or results.....Also, the word i am hearing is 2012 might come supercharged from the factory but i wont know until next month....S/C with full warranty is kind of hard to pass up on or having others get the upgrade through Ford...Just a thought though....

I got a deal on the truck so I didn't really pay for the name.I am going to do the 400 stroker from Livernois shooting for the 750 rwhp.If everything goes to plan I will change out the motor sometime in July or August.i wasnt going to do anything to the truck at first but things change and I got a itch to build one of the Badest Raptors on planet.My truck will be going to SEMA as The ADD show truck.

I've been hoping for an EcoBoost Raptor. A blown 6.2 from the factory was never something I imagined the factory would do.

First off my info is coming from a N.Y. office that works directly with Military overseas sales and the factory...I only speak of what i hear from them and I won't know for sure until about the end of MAY...Military over seas will have the there Raptor's made in June not 24 OCT for dealers.... I was told that they wont confirm anything but Ford was speaking of a possible partnership with Rousch or whipple....I would guess Rousch but they have been on the 302 pretty hard....Another reason is many folks have been asking for a blower option...I have a 2012 supercrew on order now and am awaiting the e-mail from the factory or rep to discuss the exact setup i want since nothing is released from Ford yet....

Funny you would say the Livernois 400CI Stroker....I am already talking to them about that possible setup...Man i thought i might be one of the few if i did do it...BTW..What are the $ looking like for the whole setup and install up at there Michigan HQ? Never that the HP would be that high....Please post some pics up or any info you find out...thanx....

I highly doubt Ford is putting a blower on the Raptor especially a whipple. A eaton TVS or M122 maybe but not a Whipple. Whipple is developing a blower for Ford but it is for FRPP not as a factory Ford part.

This is bull****. Someone either has there facts confused or they are straight lying.

It will never happen. That level of power would put the Raptor past the GT500 until the 3rd gen FGT comes out the GT500 is Fords halo car.

ENCS does not get you special treatment when it comes to the factory if so I would have a B5 Blue SRT8 Challenger and not my Raptor. Dodge cancelled my order after it was accepted to by the factory to be built and had a build date because at the end of the summer of 2009 Dodge ran out of money and shut down the LX/LC plant and canceled 99% of the orders. Dodge told ENCS that I could reorder my car as a 2010 at 2010 price without any of my 2009 rebates. ENCS can't order cars before the order banks are open. Here again I ordered my truck in Aug of 09 hence why I have a 5.4L and not a 6.2L because the 6.2L didn't become an option until March 2010. Also Ford isn't going to release info to ENCS before the dealers or for that matter even the general auto media. What I have attched is the order guide for the 2012 Mustang. Ford releases these usually a few months before the order bank opens for a new model year. The 2012 F-150 one hasn't been released yet. View attachment 1552
