Wow, it will probably perform and get better mpg with higher octane? If the computer can detect it or maybe it's just tuned for 87 only?

I would imagine, similar to previous years, manual/advertisements will list horsepower figures using 91-94 octane fuel. See current Mustang, previous Raptor.

Recommended is minimum of 87. Go higher for optimum performance numbers.

From the 2017 F150 owners manual. 87 is the minimum.

"For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using premium fuel is most noticeable in hot weather as well as other conditions, for example when towing a trailer."

I would think there would be something specific pertaining to the Raptor's 3.5HO in that manual or a Raptor supplement?!?

That is weird. So then 87 isn't really the recommended, 91 is......to actually get the posted numbers.
