maybe the F150's arent bad, but some vehicles are freaking terrible.

it will ALWAYS be better with projectors. No matter how "ok" it is in stock housings.

Just like an F150 is Better in Raptor trim vs FX4 trim.

why settle for second best when you can have the best for barely any more $$

Its not a sales pitch, I dont sell em, so whats you excuse now?

Actually, never said YOU sold them.
Define "better" & your experience with the dozens of vehicles you've owned.........
And while your at it clarify "barely anymore".
As an adult, who works for a living, I consider barely anymore as $10 - $20.
So, why would I need an excuse for anything here, that is my opinion?

I agree. My HID lights cost $60. The retrofit lights with projectors are $1000. Thats not "bearly more"

I've driven in, and in front of many vehicles with projectors, and stock reflectors. Who says I have to own the thing to know what each is like lol.
My experience with them is projectors no don't bother with HID's

I'd never want HID's in stock reflectors after experiencing the awesomeness of projectors.

I have owned both. We still currently own a vehicle with projector xenons. My HIDs in the stock housings are SO much better than the projectors on my moms car. I did this a while ago but here are comparison pics.
This is the cut off I have in my truck from over 70ft away. Its surprisingly good.

These two pics are not fake. They are both on a grade but I am perfectly level with both. I am for projectors but these are the facts. Top is my raptor. Bottom is my moms projectors. Hard to tell but the "starburst" around the light shows the difference. Less is better.

That's if you don't do it yourself...

You guys realize you can do it yourself.... Right? And it's not that difficult....

Here's an update video to show ballasts and wiring (please read description): Ford Raptor HID Install (Ballasts and Wires) - YouTube

I took the Raptor out yesterday at night and the HID's are nice. The cutoff is very noticeable, especially when driving down a narrow road with thick growth of trees on both sides. I was NEVER flashed. My lights are not even high enough to shine through the rear windshield and into the cabin of smaller vehicles (maybe it would for a sports car but not for 90% of the sedans that were out last night). My H2 lights (stock halogen) shine through the rear windshield and into the cabin of many small sedans. I get the finger from a lot of sports cars when I pull up behind them on a red light.

I swear some of the people arguing against HIDs in the stock housing have never actually stood in front of the truck, from the oncoming perspective...

They are NOT blinding when aimed properly, and the output is terrific. It's that simple. There's not much of an argument to be made, other than the fact they have a more defined cutoff, yes that's true... But that doesn't automatically mean the stock housing is blinding, because it simply isnt.

I'm arguing against doing it in general, not against raptors specifically. No I haven't been in front of an f150 with hid's in stock housings, but I've been in front of plenty of other vehicles without projectors and they've all sucked.

Maybe the f150 is magical an better idk

I agree that it's a terrible idea for the most part... Most vehicles have a terrible reflector cutoff and it's annoying as hell!

But seriously... It's great on this truck!
