Dude, your clearly standing downhill from the vehicles and taking the pic from bellow the cutoff line of the projectors. We have all seen a car with projectors come over a hill and think their brights are on but as soon as the cut off passes below your eye level its a quarter as bright.

This is on part of my drive way. This part is a 400' long flat area. If car vehicle is parked on the same grade as you, it doesn't matter. Its the same as if you lived in a area where the streets are hills. If the car is ON the hill your going up, its the same as being flat.

90% of the time the cut off is going to be below ppls eye level. Thats why HID's are only legal in projectors and thats why manufactures build them that way.

Enough arguing about it, lol, we'll just agree to disagree on that one.

Ducati, I don't think whtrapta is trying to prove that one is better than the other. He's just saying that the halogen reflectors are surprisingly decent. That's all. We know projectors kick ass but they're a PITA to do and are expensive.

Nevertheless, I don't want to blind anyone so I'll be sticking to full stock until someone has a cheaper alternative.

Im retrofitting a set of stock headlights right now. Ill install them in my truck, make sure they are dialed in and work properly then offer them for sale.

i agree projectors are better. If someone would make a projector kit that looked like the stock housing that didn't cost 5 million dollars I would get them.

So what would you consider a fair price ? I have about $350 in parts/shipping coming and was going to double that for the install, which is a PITA, I took half my fingernail off yesterday trying to get them apart.

I know Lightwerks charges over a grand and you lose your headlights for 3 or 4 months.

Lightwerkz charges $1725 plus shipping both ways...

With that said, there really is no "fair" price on these because guys are gonna wanna be compensated for time and parts. And we know neither are cheap. For me, it's unjustifiable to spend over half a grand on headlights. I'd rather get some dually fogs with that money.

That is STILL low balling yourself. These retros are a major pain in the ass to do and I would charge way more so truely that's more then a fair price for anyone that wants a set.
I will be doing what Ducati did to his Recons and maybe I'll even make a video when I do to try and give you guys a step by step in video form
but I'm sure most of you will see that taking Ducati's offer will be WELL WORTH IT for a cool set of projectors.
Thanks Ducati for even taking the time to do this for our members.
