They run the line 24 hours a day? 7 days a week?

Nope.

A couple of issues with the original post.

- If this guy does work for Ford, he shouldn't be running his mouth with non public information.

- If he is at Cleveland Engine, as stated, he has no clue how the engine sounds in the truck. The most he could know is how it sounds on a test stand. *Not the same.

The numbers sound about right based in Raj's slip, in my opinion.

1,000 a week! Sweet. There should be so many Raptors out there that we can get big fat discounts. Oh and then there's the V8 coming in less than a year. Even better. I mean we really should just all cancel our orders.

And @2014RubyRed at least you'll have the Gen 1 owners still buying from you to upgrade their trucks. 90% of forums is speculation when it comes to new vehicles being released. I guess none of us did any speculation when the Gen 1s came out. I've never seen a vendor bad mouth an upcoming product like you have where you could possibly have a whole new segment of customers.

Actually, I didn't badmouth the truck itself. It's the idiots that don't know what they are talking about that I get a kick out of. Thin-skinned idiots at that. Not that I'm trying to justify anything I've said if it offended you. Sure, speculation is gonna happen, but some people around here are taking it to new heights! Those are the FOAMERS, and FOAMERS ARE GONNA FOAM. I get it. It's the new way of life on earth.:baby:

And to clear up another comment made by someone else - this is NOT the GEN2 forum. It is the Raptor Forum. GEN2, sadly, has it's own forum now. It's a safe place that is largely ignored by some of us. Not out of respect, but because it's full of the same shit that some are spewing out here. It will come around once all the FOAMERS work themselves out of it.

Regarding the Gen2, I have actually considered getting one. It won't be ordered though. It will be bought right off the lot once all this craziness calms down. Why, because I have a Raptor now and I won't pay anywhere near what people are paying for them now. I did'nt order my current Raptor, and saved thousands because of that.

So, continue on with your craziness. We will all still be here next year when things finally calm down. We'll see how many of you are still around and if you actually ordered a Raptor or not. If so, we'll see each other at an event. If not, we won't......:mwah1:

Guys lets do the math real quick. Assuming the plant runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no shut downs, and production is at 5 a day, the most they can make in one day is 120 Raptors...per week thats 840. Not 1000, not more than a 1000. Now if Ford is going to produce the 17s at a higher rate, then yeah maybe more than a 1000, but I have a hard time believing that.

Once we start to see how many Raptors hit the lots, then we will know better, but the bottom line, just by price they wont be a big seller relative to other F-series.

On a side note, I tried to take various data on Ford F-series sales through the 1Q 2016, and the best I can quickly guesstimate is about a production level of ~14K trucks a week. Thats ALL F-series. That's also assuming they operate on a just in time production rate, which I'm sure they do not.

So if the numbers are true, then we are talking about 10% of F-series sales to be Raptors...I doubt it

And to clear up another comment made by someone else - this is NOT the GEN2 forum. It is the Raptor Forum. GEN2, sadly, has it's own forum now.

This is the GEN 2 section of the Raptor forum. The Gen 2 is a Raptor and thus has its own GEN 2 section on the Raptor forum.

Go to any other forum like jeepsunlimited, NASIOC, etc. They all have sections for different model years just like this forum.

Get over it already, Ruby. The Gen 2 will be the new norm on FRF.

Yes the repetitive posts, questions, and speculation is old but itll all iron itself out once people actually get their hands on them.

@2014RubyRed

No offense taken here at all. I had a Gen 1, just sold it. As a matter of fact I think you might've even liked one of my IG pics of it. Stalking me no doubt...

Seriously though man, whats it matter if people want to come in here and spew crap. Ignore it, or work with your industry connections to provide the most accurate info/data you can to build trust and credibility with a whole new group of buyers. Not trying to tell you how to do biz, but thats the type of business I would want to buy from.

FR2 is up and running, but all the noise is here. Eventually, people will probably shift over there, but a lot of us started here so its familiar.

Now let me be so I can go load up my FOAM gun. Hopefully Ford is reading these forums and adds a FOAM mode next to Baja mode

@2014RubyRed...

Dude. Did you go to "The Shawn Ellis School of Business Marketing and Customer Service"? Because, minus the racial slurs and incessant cussing, you remind me of Shawn Ellis. A lot. (That's not a good thing)

I honestly thought he was the only business owner I would ever see who is insistent upon insulting potential (and even current) customers. But, here I am....

Note that "regular" F150 is produced at two plants. Raptor is produced in only one. Factor that into any production numbers you may be cyphering based on sales.

Early production starts slow and Ramps up over time. I bet true Raptor production will be less than 500 per week, especially early in the cycle. I doubt they will go directly to 2014 levels right away regardless of orders.

People in general (not you specifically hkguns) are taking this way too seriously. No need for folks to get all butthurt over some unofficial discussion and information. Re above, as I mentioned the sound comment came from testers in Dearborn where they have several of the trucks..as you mention, they are making the engines in Cleveland and my OH friend has no first hand experience with the sound installed in the truck. I wouldn't let one guy in Dearborn's opinion on the sound scare anyone away...I'm sure they'll sound sweet...different than the 6.2 perhaps but I'm sure they'll still be meaty! Whether the information is sensitive enough to disclose or not is up to him to know and decide.
