Might as well just close the thread and wait till actual specs come out and then someone can just create a new one then. There's nothing in this thread remotely related to the actual engine specs
If I was to use that logic, I could close a bunch of threads in the Gen 2 section. In addition, there would be one, or more threads, pop up discussing this topic prior to releasing the specs with the same results. Might as well have the mess contained in one spot.

Fair enough.

Beyond all the speculation, the closest thing I've read to hard evidence is that ADD says their '17 pulls away from their Supercharged 6.2L Gen 1.

Here's some pro-level bench racing for you guys:

S/C'd 6.2L = 450 rwhp
Minus 500 lb = 400 rwhp
Minus 10 speed trans = 380 rwhp
"pulls away from" = 400 rwhp

I'm guessing just north of 400 rwhp for the Gen 2, and they rate it between 480-500 hp at the crank. The engine has a lot of head room, thanks to the larger turbos and 10.0 CR vs the standard 2nd Gen Ecoboost at 375hp/470 tq. Also, the new GT is going to make "over 600 hp", so 500 hp would be halfway between.

On second thought...maybe not a bad idea just to blow the whole thing up and start fresh or move people over to the new site.

375hp and 470tq on the regular F150 ecoboost. If we assume the same ration of HP to TQ and the HP is around 450 this is going to be a monster engine. 450HP/564TQ would make a very fun ride.

I think Ford is struggling with how much boost to give them now that the gen2 ecoboost in the f150 is so strong. Raptor has to be stronger and they know the powerplant will handle 600hp as per the GT, where they fall between the regular eco and GT is the question.

That rational of a linear increase isn't really sound though, changes like different turbos or methods of fuel delivery will net different ratios of tq to hp, maybe more maybe less.

Stop trying to use common sense and logic. Those aren't allowed 'round these parts! If ain't speculation or rumors, it don't mean ****.
