that’s pretty much my take on it as well. Really, really want to figure out a way to throw a bigger tank (and the F-150 diesel engine for that matter) into mine, but the SCAB just looks ‘right’ to me, and it’s only me 90% of the time, me plus the wife or maybe the pups 99.9% of the time.

I wouldn't even consider a diesel swap until yours blows up. The 3.0 diesel is slower than hell.

Well, SCAB was the OG chassis config when Raptor program was launched & when it was first offered for sale to the public.

I suppose one could settle for a SCREW if they had to haul around F trophies all the time though heh.

I love my scab. It looks better in my eyes, there’s plenty of space in back for adults, I love the shortened wheelbase. I’ve never had an issue with the tank size but admit a 30 gallon would be cool. Only downside I’d say is the suicide doors. They’re better than most as they open 180 but occasionally it’s annoying that you have to undo your seatbelt and open the front door. Totally worth it to me though!

It all comes down to personal preference and usage. Looks are subjective, so how are you going to use it? If you have a family, drive lots of friends or dogs around or just need lots of extra interior space than a screw is a perfect truck. If your intention is to use the Raptor as an off road truck and seldom have more than one passenger, then go scab. Scabs are few and far between and will likely need to be ordered. Screws are all over dealership lots. If you opt for a screw and plan on keeping it in the garage, take measurements first, they are like boats.
