I think you might like the cooper at3 XLT Dillard . If you dont get a lot of deep snow it will probably be enough in the dirt for you and quiet in the street.

Above are the XLT's in 37(buddy's truck). I've thought about them too in 37 as they are light weight and D load.
Brother has then in the 315/70/17 size and they look good and are still whisper quiet on the street. Don't think he had any issues in sugar sand either.

Those don't look to bad really. Never seen them in person and looking at them online they looked more like a highway tire. But they look pretty good on that truck! Has he had them offroad in the dirt yet? If so how did they do?

As long as theres not a lot of wet mud etc. In dry dirt they are gtg especially at fast pace.

I think in 37” the tire really comes i to its own because proportionally , the lugs get to a size where they are really useful in the dirt. In sizes below 35 not so much so imo. More as Dillard described, as a aggressive highway tread.

I'm due for some tires very soon and I'm having a tough time trying to decide between sticking with an MT or switching to a AT.
I drive mostly on street with lots of highway driving but do hit the dirt quite often. Its not hard core baja ripping but like to play. So want a street friendly with great offroad ability tire.
Good sidewall protection, not to loud on pavement, looks good, great on street/highway, great in dirt. Not in the rain much and even less in the snow. I split time between Texas and SoCal.
I think I've narrowed it down to these but open to other suggestions. Should I look at an RT/ hybrid tire to bridge the gap between AT and MT?
Falken Wildpeak At3w - great all around tire that lots of people love but just looks plain highway tire to me
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss At - great sidewall for AT, looks good, dont know many raptor running them, Heavy for AT at 80#
BFG KM3- currently running, was a good tire, looks great, got kinda loud with miles, had to rotate at 3-5k or would cup a bit
Yokohama Geolandar Mt G003- Looks very aggressive, said to be quite, great reviews online but not many raptors running them.
I know another tire thread. But thanks for the help FRF!!
Toyo RT is a great tire…I had them on my last truck. Just an all around great choice

My brother with the 35's has and no issues in places like Ocala which has a mix of soft, hard packed sand and some clayish material. Only have tried it out when it was dry, so not a lot of feedback on mud/wet sand.

I'll ask my buddy with the 37's for any feedback.

Couldn't find any ply info on the sidewall.
M/T calls it 'next gen' high tensile lightweight ply. I was in the bike tire industry for a while and learned that you can get strength and durability without bulk/weight so I wasn't too concerned about ply count.
We'll see how that works out but they seem stout/supportive, certainly more than a C and less harsh the the E they replaced.

Here's a few more pics for you, these are 315s
You might want to look at the Toyo RT trail, those are D and similar.

The only slight negative I've found with these so far is stone retention in center tread, but it's not really an issue.

If you had i narrowed down to 2 tires...
A heavy tire or Load Range E....
Which one would you choose?
Personally, I'd go load range E vs a much heavier tire. Weight impacts acceleration, braking, and MPG whereas load range might make it ride rougher but keeping the PSI in the mid-30s should mitigate that somewhat.
