you're right. and they absolutely do not have the same HVAC part number listed on that parts list in the notice.
My 23 has a build date of October 22, so it should fall in the range of affected vehicles.

I am good friends with the service manager at my local dealership. I texted him my VIN earlier and will know tomorrow if my truck is included.

If not, time to install all this stuff I have been sitting on for months. All the parts numbers match perfectly to the notice.

The XLT Lightnings I believe use the same 12" screen as the ICE trucks so I'd say that notice is just for the Lightnings based on the numbers
That's a really good point, both the Pro grade and the xlt have the 12 in standard.. It explains the multiple dash configurations.

TL;DR if you bought parts to fix your raptor heated wheel, DO NOT GET RID OF THEM YET

As i noted above the language when ford deleted heated steering wheel indicated that lightnings would get a remedy in the future and that ICE vehicles would not. Looks like this is what is coming to pass. Also worth noting to support this case, Lightning only had a $50 credit where ICE had $140.

Below is the verbiage copy/pasted directly from the Ford sales documentation all 2023 owners signed on delivery (edit: the dealer bulletins reflect the same different language for lighting and ICE)
ICE (including ratpor):
Steering Wheel – Heat Removal
o When activated this feature provides heat to the steering wheel.
o Due to this inconvenience, the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of your vehicle has been reduced by $140.

Lightning:
Heated Steering Wheel Functionality Removal
o This feature provides heat to the steering wheel.
o Due to this inconvenience, the MSRP of your vehicle has been reduced by $50
o We are currently projecting that this feature will be available late 2023. However, due to global supply constraints, further delays to this timing could occur.
o When the Heated Steering Wheel functionality becomes available your dealer will install it on your vehicle at no cost to you. Your dealership will contact you to arrange a time for this installation that is convenient for you.

Just returned the shipped the parts I received on Thursday for a refund. Wondering if I should keep the cable for Forscan. I only got it to program the HSW.

Any else Forscan is needed for or just tinkering around?
@GDITheMan running after the UPS truck right now.

I installed the parts- new SCCM AND the HVAC module already. My buddy is the Master Tech at my dealer and hooked up the FDRS computer to the truck to activate the system and the computer would not allow it.
Then I tried to do it thru my Forescan and now the truck will not connect to that…
Any thoughts on this???
Forescan says the truck has a “tune” and will not connect to it…
What the hell is up these newer models???

Hmm I got my HVAC working and I'm not a "Master Tech". I guess I can add Sr. Master tech to my LinkedIn profile now.
