Looks like you got the distance for the straights but how bout the width for the corners.... Hit me up [email protected] , Ill hook you up with a sick HID projector headlight setup thats road legal and makes the recons look like fog lights... sick build BTW !

The Dash Z's actually do a great job of lighting up the highway without blinding other drivers. By using a housing with projector, it has a great cutoff. I went out tonight and took some pics with a tri-pod. made for some interesting conversations with neighbors...

The HIDs are the Euro Beam pattern. As I recall they are rated for up to 700 yards. The LEDs are a combination of floods and spots, floods on the outside and spots in the middle, most of its light fills the first 300 yards. I have lights coming for the hood that will fill the middle gap with HID Euro Beams. They will go into new RPG hood mount bracket with visor shield to minimize hood reflection. Those two will have 5000 Lumens each bringing the total firepower to about 70,000.

The trick to all this working so well is the various beam patterns, the height, and beam projection distance. Just comparing total Lumens does not by itself indicate everything, its how its used, sound familiar?

Cargo Weight Manifest

Very comprehensive write up. I enjoyed reading it and it help me decide on a few mods.

Thank you!:favorites13:

Thanks for the positive feedback, let us all know what works and what doesn't!

That is a good amount of light!
I was half expecting nearby bushes and all to burst into flames, lol.

I had to take out my gear to prepare the bed for this weeks construction activities and since I was storing in the warehouse, right next to shipping I took advantage of the monster scale we have there. I removed everything except the F-1, bed rug and bac-Box, cooler is still at home so that was estimated. Little surprised to see my cruising weight at 650 Lbs. When you add the extra camping gear and 2nd jug of water probably close to 900 Lbs of gear.

And for those doubters out there that claimed my Bed rack made out of ABS would never hold up, sorry to inform you that after 1000+ miles of hard off road running it is just fine thank you!

Now my bed sides need some cross bracing to keep the sides from widening at the top, probably just a mater of time before I have problems with the F-1 cover staying in place thru the whoops.

Awesome writeups as usual G. I'm getting some good ideas from all your detailed info. Truck is an HD beastly beauty that does it all! What's next on the agenda?

Thanks John,

New hood lights/reflectors coming. Need to brace the bedsides, I saw a prototype for a type of CAI I have never seen anyone put in a Raptor before that blows everything else away, upgrade to interior and third brake light/cargo lights.

I have an idea in my head of how to redo my bed cage, kind of doubt I'll ever get around to it, but it would be a lot easier to re-configure and better utilize some spaces like on the left side of cooler and beneath bak-box.

On the short list is full harnesses, passenger roll hoop (Partial interior cage), I had the first go of this in and then we removed it to make some upgrades.

Thats all I can think of right now. For those that have not yet visited MotuMute's thread for Airborne Pics and Videos... you are missing out, some real good stuff there, just enjoyed a couple hours of going thru it. :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:

You are too kind. Thank you for the kind words. I switched from CAI back to stock after my filter kept popping off after jumping. That and concerns about splashing through deep water and it soaking the filter. Does your CAI prototype address these offroad concerns? Passenger Roll Hoop? What is it? How "partial" is the cab cage? How do you attach your harnesses? Everyone I know is looking for a cost-effective way to do that. Inquiring minds are intrigued!

All will be revealed in time. But as you know I am not shy about voicing my concerns. Safety and performance.

I needed to catch up on this thread and a sleepless night is a good time to do so! G like always your right ups are awesome. What CAI are you talking about? Or is that still "classified"?
