Okay G, my guess is your front shocks are being re-valved for some type of change that's going on... What change, this is where you come in. Spill the beans bud!

Yukon Joe

I see cut frame rails, so new bumper, too?

Frame was cut some time ago when I went with the Race-Line front Bumper

Snow plow install
no! No cattle guard either.

ding ding ding - partial winner!

Yes, will be testing the new RPG Stage 4 + - new proprietary valving for the Fox 3.0 front coil/overs. Also new valving for rear Fox 2.5 bumps. Modifications to bumper for additional lights and tweaking positioning of in bumper 20" LED for greater thru put. and perhaps one more goodie if time allows... Need to get her back to get ready for this weekend test run / pre-run and camping.

I will need to re-engineer gear to make it all work out with 2 passengers. F-1 cover may need to stay home on this trip.

Nice. Definitely want to hear more to see if I need to revalve mine. Take your camera/GoPro! Can we expect some new G pics in the Airborne thread?

RPG Stage 4+ Front Coil Overs

I did a full write up of our recent excursion that you can find here

Here are a couple teaser pics...

One of the purposes of this pre-run was to test Corey's latest valve configuration for the RPG Stage 4+... basically a modification to the Fox 3.0s with the goal to improve the rebound performance. If you look at some of my earlier videos of me doing some monstrous jumps, there was a pretty good rebound. Much more noticeable in my SCREW, and less noticeable when I did it in the RPG SCAB. Anyway, this new configuration is sick.

My truck can now go thru medium sized whoops "Stupid Fast". Its hard to describe, equally hard to contain oneself while doing it, uncontrollable laughter, at how much I could throw at it and stay in complete control.

I told Corey, it was a more noticeable difference than when I went to the 3.0 from the stock shocks.

So at some point those with the Fox 3.0s may need servicing, new fluid, seals, valve washer springs etc. That would be a good time to have this upgrade done. This mod by itself is significant.

The new lights were impressive. over 8000 lumens in each. I will be getting two hood mounted lights that will bring my front lighting to about 60,000 lumens without my normal HID headlights. When this is done I will write up some more details on the Vision X lighting.

Everything worked great, except one of my Dash Z HID projectors failed. It is likely just the connector rattled loose.

If camping with more than one passenger is in my future, I will need to re-think things, as it was a lot of extra work to strap everything down. This made getting just one thing out a big challenge as tie downs were shared. Like most things, I evaluate what worked well and what could be improved. I need to pack more like back-packing and less like car camping, but I do like to eat well out on the trail.
